If we are being honest with ourselves, coding was never the issue. Anytime a new product got launched, in a month or less five other variations of it came alive. But what was the problem? Marketing. If AI companies really wanted to solve a problem, it was to make marketing cheaper and more effective, not just increase the volume. Because yeah, AI can help do more volume, but what matters is value, genuine, deep-level value. There was a time when the iOS App Store’s entire marketing was: “There’s an app for that.” And they were not wrong. There actually is an app for that. But it’s the organization with the biggest marketing spend that gets to be at the top. So it was never about coding more products. It was actually about getting more people to see your projects, use them, and pay for them.
