@LayerZero_Fndn Maybe some people are seeing that their vote will not make a difference and decide that there is no use voting this round. Opting to save the time and the 50 cent fee. If we were closer to reaching the quorum then maybe more people would participate and encourage others to join.

@LayerZero_Fndn 98% voting Yes is surprising (even higher than last vote). I would think more than 2% of people would be interested in keeping the fees as low as possible. I know some No voters abstained because of the quorum mechanic, but still seems to be very lopsided.

@PrimordialAA @arkham Yeah, a lot of great work was put into it from both the hunters and the team. However, the rushed timeline, unclear requirements and limited resources allocated to validating reports did unfortunately result in a lot of the work done by hunters being wasted or underappreciated.

One thing I never got around to doing from the Sybil hunting/TGE days was thanking all of those involved. First @arkham was amazing throughout -- incredible tooling, super willing to help at every turn and extremely supporting. Could not have come even close to the level of filtering we got through without them. @artemis_onchain @LegionFi @SybilHorror6 for their incredible over the top help during the process, dedicating huge amount of hours, triple checking our and others work, cleaning up final results, so much effort there. They've gone on to help so many other teams after this process which has been awesome to see. If anyone needs referrals I'm an open door @0xtoshi and all of the hunters for some of the best and most detailed reports, they made our lives easy in validating claims and wrote conclusive/non speculative reports @nansen_ai @chaoslabs in all of their hard work in creating their own independent sybil lists from scratch for us to cross-reference and working with us in the many back and forths to refine those lists And of course the @LayerZero_Core team for all of the sleepless nights, IVs in the office, and pure sprint to make sure we got it done and got it done right. Part of me misses the 18 hour days starting at these graphs -- glad it's behind me but man... what a month or two. Thank you all, this acknowledgement should have come sooner but we couldn't have done it without you. Onwards!

@YouHodler Why set a fixed listings price in the whitepaper instead of allowing it to trade at what the market thinks the token is worth? For example right now the token is trading at around $0.016 on Uniswap, so the $0.3 price seems very optimistic and might result in disappointment.

@hasufl 3 is not possible. It is just standard addresses poisoning. They hope you will copy the wrong address from your transfer history when doing your next transfer.

Has anyone seen this new phishing angle? 1) make fake USDC token 2) for every real USDC transfer, send the user the same amount of fake USDC 3) (probably) if they accidentally approve/spend the fake USDC, it drains your wallet So far, it seems obvious but the next part is new: 4) also send thousands of real USDC to other accounts. (I know because I have received some) see e.g. #tokentxns" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">etherscan.io/address/0x9d9a… Any thoughts on this?

@lopp No, there is no minimum fee (even $0 fee is possible). The total fee for a transaction must be an integer, but the sat/vb fee doesn’t have to be. If you for example chose a 1 sat fee (21 cents at that price) for a 500 vb transaction that would correspond to a fee of 0.002 sat/vb.

@rudykadoch @PrimordialAA @LayerZero_Core Lower fees means more people will use the product (especially through services like Jumper). This growth benefits token holders. Fee switch can always be enabled later. Many token holders are also users of the protocol and will benefit from fees staying low.

The @LayerZero_Core referendum just finished. Overwhelmingly positive response for the fee switch but quorum was not (even close) to hit Some thoughts - Votable from any chain, 100% on-chain. The referendum itself is amazing - I would *love* to see permanent toggle for users, i.e. if you voted yes previously your current balance of tokens is always yes until you explicitly vote no (on repeating referendums only). Has storage issues though unfortunately, hard to do - A lot of people commenting on the quorum pacing, since this was only ~1/9th of the way to quroum it seems that quroum. I think it would be cool to see quorum pacing adjusted to the previous votes outcome. An example would be since this was 96% - 4% quorum would drop significantly more than a vote that was 50% - 50% dead split. - Delegation is another reasonable way to account for a large % of inactive voters but I still much prefer direct referendum vs delegation structure. Next one in 6 months on 1 year anniversary of TGE. Lots of time for @LayerZero_Fndn to take in feedback and analyze results.

🗳️ Fee Switch Referendum On Dec 20, 2024, 00:00 UTC, ZRO holders will vote: • “Yes” to activate the LayerZero protocol fee • “No” to keep the protocol fee inactive Voting ends Dec 27, 2024, 00:00 UTC. TL;DR - Only circulating ZRO is eligible to vote. - Quorum is 60%. From there, majority wins. - Vote with your entire ZRO balance from one chain. - Collected protocol fees would be used to buy and burn ZRO. Full Details: medium.com/layerzero-foun…

@CatFace231 @LayerZero_Fndn Users obviously wouldn’t want that, but the idea is that token holders could benefit from it. My view is that keeping fees low is also beneficial to token holders as it makes LayerZero more competitive and will result in higher growth for the entire LZ ecosystem. I will vote No.

@LayerZero_Fndn Activation of the protocol fee will make bridging more expensive for users and slow down the growth of LZ. We should stay maximally competitive by waiting another 6 to 18 months before considering this switch, during which time LZ will be primed for an increase in market share.

@WrappedBTC I don’t think you guys know what "decentralized" means, because WBTC is definitely not that.

@PrimordialAA Any news about when hunters can expect the tokens from the latest list of (previously) unreviewed reports to be distributed? Given the long wait we have already been though I had hoped things would move a little quicker now that the review process is finished and the list ready.

@PrimordialAA @Fegrlikeswinter @LayerZero_Core What about the unreviewed reports that didn’t make the official list of unreviewed reports? And what about the reports that were dismissed, but later shown to have a high overlap with confirmed sybils on FCFS/Nansen list.
