@UberEats Having a support agent close your ticket in your face is top tier service.
English

Oh my god, @ubereats support is quite possibly the WORST in the business. I order food, order priority, driver makes another stop before me which shouldnt be possible, and support tells me food prep takes time and to be happy and then closes my ticket. Insane.
English

@day9tv Yeah after a certain age messing with your sleeping schedule is awful.

Hope you are well

@Pyrostasis To be fair…. There’s been a whole item rework for meta so I’m not surprised
English

@Docgotgame You dont have a gap in employment. You were self employed for however long you've done streaming. You also have great softskills. Sell the business side of what you've done, not the "I played games for 10 years"
English

@Pyrostasis Thanks for replying! I have a Bachelors and currently working on my Masters. Whats killing me so far seems to be the gap in actual employment, even WITH me hyping up the skillsets I have through streaming, community Management etc.
English

@Docgotgame I still miss it and occasionally upload something, but at this point I'm making more than I did there, and I no longer have to chase trends and views. I'll definitely pick it back up in retirement in a decade or two if its still around. But itll be for fun.
English

@Docgotgame It was a hell of a transition. But once I finally got a decent job. The weight of not having to do YT/Twitch anymore to survive was huge. The stress melted away and my happiness went through the roof. I didnt realize how stressed I'd been over paying bills.
English

@SenjouEsDee @zachbussey Pretty simple.
If you make $15 an hour in revenue, but it costs you $16 an hour to operate its a losing deal. Can you afford to operate at a loss? Sure. But its a business not a charity.
English

@zachbussey How are they owned by Amazon and can't afford South Korea's taxes 💀
English

Twitch is ending support for ALL streaming in South Korea, effective February 27, 2024.
In a letter to Korean streamers, Dan Clancy says, "We will work to help Twitch streamers in Korea move their communities to alternative livestreaming services."

English

@InmanAlex @zachbussey @Twitch If operating somewhere loses you money you are going to try and resolve that regardless of size. It appears that SK has prohibitive costs for external sources. Netflix has had issues as well. Twitch is a business not a charity.
English

@zachbussey @Twitch Even with the “prohibitively expensive” costs to provide servers and infrastructure in South Korea, it must still be a drop in the ocean for Amazon.
How could you abandon an entire country like this with the size and resources that Amazon has?
Capitalism doesn’t care about fun.
