@Sayel_D He was dependent on corrupt elites Erosion of Trust: Pervasive, low-level corruption (e.g., in customs, courts, police salaries) also became rampant, severely eroding public trust in the government and contributing to the willingness of Afghans to fight for the US-backed regime.

@Sayel_D Corruption Under Ghani: While Ashraf Ghani initially came to power with an anti-corruption platform (even reopening the Kabul Bank case), critics argue that serious corruption continued during his tenure.

@Sayel_D US officials admitted their money was inadvertently empowering corrupt individuals, with estimates that a significant portion of aid ended up in the pockets of insurgents, criminal syndicates, or corrupt Afghan officials. *

@Sayel_D "Our Money was Empowering a Lot of Bad People": Confidential US government documents revealed that the enormous scale of US aid and defense contracts created nearly limitless opportunities for bribery and fraud.

@Sayel_D High-Profile Scandals: A notable example during the Karzai administration was the Kabul Bank crisis, where the country's largest financial institution essentially served as a Ponzi scheme for a clique tied to the government, including a brother of Hamid Karzai. *

@Sayel_D * Patronage Networks: The US and its allies initially relied on and empowered local warlords and existing patronage networks to fight the Taliban, often giving them government positions, which were then exploited to embezzle public resources and solidify corruption.

@Sayel_D Key points related to profiteering and corruption include: * Diversion of Foreign Aid: Political elites connected to the governments allegedly positioned themselves as intermediaries to divert billions of dollars in foreign aid and investment to their own accounts and allies.

@Sayel_D The administrations of both former Afghan Presidents Hamid Karzai and Ashraf Ghani were plagued by widespread accusations and evidence of corruption and profiteering during the US-led war and reconstruction effort in Afghanistan. 1/1

If #Taliban claim there is no border between Pakistan and #Afghanistan, then Pakistan has a legitimate right to create a buffer zone beyond the Durand Line—Imperative for Pakistan's national security. Since the Durand Line is considered an imaginary border by the Taliban, Pakistan should also prioritize securing the #Wakhan Corridor—another imperative for Pakistan's NS.

They were just boys with dreams — not soldiers. Their only weapon was a cricket bat. But Pakistan’s army took their lives… and left their families in tears. How can the world stay silent while our innocent youth are killed for nothing? 💔

This is the real map of Afghanistan- before the British drew the Durand Line and carved our land apart. From Peshawar to Bolan, from Gilgit to Waziristan- this was Afghanistan. Colonial borders cannot erase history, identity, or blood.

Today, it has been 7 years since the martyrdom of Shaheed General Raziq, the lion who stood against Pakistan and its ISI with no fear. He protected every inch of Afghan soil. And on this very day, Pakistan is once again bombing Afghanistan. If Raziq were alive, he would have never allowed ISI to occupy our land or murder our people. He proved that courage can stop terrorism. His life’s work reminds us: Afghanistan must never bow to Pakistan. Raziq lives in every Afghan who still resists.
