Nothing serious will come out of these suspended matatu talks because the real problem is not lack of meetings, it is a government that keeps creating economic fires and then pretending to negotiate over the smoke.
This seven-day suspension is not peace but another powder keg sitting under Ruto’s regime. Every new fuel fight, every levy, every strike, every angry sector and every broken promise becomes another trap and another landmine on the road ahead.
I keep wondering how Ruto imagines surviving another term when there is no election nearby to blame, no campaign season to escape into, and almost no room left to fix anything because the country is drowning in odious debt.
The regime is now trapped in a debt prison of its own making, where even pretending to help one group requires robbing another suffering Kenyan somewhere else.
If I were Ruto, I would not even try to run again, because even if he performed a miracle and forced his way back, this experiment cannot work forever.
You cannot rule a wounded country through taxes, police threats, confusion and temporary deals while hope keeps disappearing from the economy.

We have recalculated the maximum petroleum prices to be in force from 19th May 2026 to 14th June 2026 following a petition by public transport sector operators on the need to minimize the risk of motor fuel adulteration that may arise due to Diesel & Kerosene price difference.
@sholard_mancity Unless we want to pretend, demos, as a challenge to authority almost always include acts of lawlessness.
Without bonfires, bullets, bodies and blocked roads, I doubt if anyone would even notice the protest
We’ve seen this script before.
The people burning cars are likely not genuine protesters.
It’s the oldest playbook in the book by this Ruto govt: send goons to cause chaos so the entire protest looks violent on TV.
Remember last year when someone similar to Gaucho and his group were spotted torching cars during protests in Nairobi?
Up to today, nobody has been arrested.
Think about that.
Ordinary protesters get teargassed and hunted within minutes.
But people caught on camera burning vehicles somehow vanish without consequences?
Some Kenyans won’t notice the pattern.
They will blame protesters.
Others will see the script immediately.
I always tell people, if you ever had to choose neighbors to live with, consider Luhyas or Kikuyus. They are among the kindest, most peaceful, accommodating, and loving people you could ever coexist with,, unlike the rest of us tribal, envious, and hateful mumus.
@SirjohnCares@Maryian96 I was taken aback. She could have pretended or asked for cooking gas money and i may still have given her. Its the forthrightness that shocked me

@NyakundiReport Dangote cement was to be opened in kenya but officials demanded hefty bribes. Same thing will happen to the refinery unless dangote is now ready to pay bribes to kenyan officials
Suluhu in Damage Control as Dangote Dumps Tanzania for Kenya's Mombasa Refinery
Samia Suluhu Hassan on Saturday held talks with Nigerian billionaire Aliko Dangote in Dar es Salaam, weeks after reports emerged that the businessman was leaning toward establishing a major oil refinery project in Kenya instead of Tanzania.
In a statement after the meeting, Suluhu praised Dangote as a key investor in Tanzania through the Dangote Group cement factory in Mtwara, noting its contribution to employment and economic growth.
The meeting comes amid growing regional competition over a proposed multibillion-shilling refinery project expected to become one of East Africa’s largest petroleum facilities.
Dangote is reportedly considering Mombasa as the preferred location for the refinery due to its deeper port infrastructure and larger fuel market. He previously indicated interest in establishing the project in Tanga, Tanzania.
The planned refinery is estimated to cost between Ksh1.95 trillion and Ksh2.21 trillion and could significantly strengthen Kenya’s position as a regional petroleum hub while reducing reliance on imported refined fuel products.
@NthiaNadia@Safaricom_Care@SafaricomPLC Your story doesnt add up. You probably left out the part where your mum possibly got hacked or inadvertently gave out her log in details to a conman
Her Mpesa statement from 21st Feb. Mind you, on 21st Feb she was on a plane heading to the UK ( boarding pass attached.)
@Safaricom_Care@SafaricomPLC it has been two months of undue stress and emotional turmoil trying to engage with you.
Rudisheni tu hiyo pesa.
.@SafaricomPLC@Safaricom_Care have normalized daylight robbery, and they’re unapologetic about it
My mum recently lost KES 511,000 from her Mpesa (withdrawn in Nairobi while she was in London) only for Safaricom, after engagement via her lawyers, to offer KES 90,000 compensation

If the family of former D.light CEO Nick Imudia presses charges against Diana Kavetsa, her mother, and Melody, will blackmail be the only charge, or could they also face a murder charge?
This woman left a well-paying job in Nairobi last year and went back to Trans Nzoia, where she comes from, to start farming.
She believed farming has good opportunities, even though many young people think it is only for uneducated or rural people.
This year, she got her first harvest. From half an acre of maize, she got about 200 sacks. She sold each sack at around KSh 6,000, making about KSh 1.2 million. After paying her expenses, she was left with more than KSh 800,000 profit in just one month.
Her story is now encouraging many Kenyans to try farming.
If this guy stayed loyal to his wife, would all this have happened? All that money and blackmail just because of a 5mins pleasure?
Cheating is expensive and has consequences!
If anything,we can only Stan this queen for bagging 8.5M.
This one will definitely be our guest speaker in the next women’s conference.
A kwiiiiin in my books stop cheating .
This story is disturbing. Reports allege that former D.Light Africa CEO Nick Imudia was pushed to the edge after a toxic affair with a PA turned into blackmail, threats, and emotional torture. Allegedly the side hen got pregnant and started demanding favors at work. She wanted a staff member fired so she could take over the position with double salary.
She Secretly recorded private videos and threatened to expose him to the board and his wife. She Forced him into signing an NDA and paying her KSh 7.8 million for silence. Despite the payment, the information allegedly still reached his wife.
Before his death, Nick reportedly sent a chilling message: “You’ve won” and told his lawyer, “Keep fighting for me.” This left many Kenyans shocked and heartbroken. He later jumped from the 7th floor to his death. If these allegations are true, this is beyond relationship drama. It’s manipulation, blackmail, and destruction of a human being.
Reports claim the two were involved in a secret affair that later turned messy, with allegations of pregnancy, blackmail, leaked private videos, and millions allegedly paid to keep the matter silent. PHOTOs of Diana Kavetsa, the woman allegedly linked to the tragic death of former D.Light Africa CEO Nick Imudia, have surfaced online.
Sources further allege that Nick was emotionally drained and under immense pressure before his tragic death after falling from the 7th floor. If the allegations are true, this is a painful reminder of how toxic relationships, manipulation, and blackmail can destroy lives.
The same way women are reminded men never carry pregnancy, men should also be reminded that when you're married avoid extra marital affairs with stupid women. it will get to those people you fear knowing and if you're not strong enough, you'll be jumping from all tall buildings. When you're married, treat all other women you're entangled with as prostitutes.
His foolishness and lust are the reason he upended his life of privilege and committed suicide. He will serve as a lesson but doesn’t deserve empathy or sympathy. He got played thinking he was controlling the narrative. But why pay her millions when you can hire someone to send her to Sayuni prematurely. Such women deserve no empathy at all.
@calvinokello4 They may not have won but nothing gives me more pride than knowing that we were in the trenches. That we fought back. That we didn't beg on our knees. Thats something your insolence can never take away from kenyans and more so kikuyus
Kikuyus never gave us independence. The Maumau won nothing.
Independence was given. The British Empire decided to leave out of their own volition.
You want to tell me that Maumau had superior weapons against the British? The greatest empire the world has ever seen?
It was time for independence, and they gave it to us. We did not take it from them.
