The best part of Obsession is that Bear probably would’ve thrown up the pills if the wish didn’t stop him In the end Bear doesn’t have the guts to save Nikki himself The only reason she is ever set free is because Bear’s freewill is taken by the version of Nikki he wished for

I agree that the wish stopped him from throwing up the pills. The part that is up to interpretation is whether or not it was an intentional choice by post-wish Bear to not throw up the pills, or if he unaware of the pills entirely after that point.

@qk_du @Ch41nR34ct10ns There’s literally nothing “up to interpretation” you slow fuck. Clearly he was a coward and was about to back out by making himself throw up the pills meaning putting his life over Nikki, but the wish was made at that exact time stopping him from doing so.

@qk_du this isn't it. the wish took effect immediately after she snapped it and when someone wishes you into a different person the person it makes you is a blank slate. he didn't know he had taken the pills already, he just knew she was out there and he needed to go to her

A lot of it is up to interpretation which is my favorite part of the movie, so I totally get why some people dont see it this way

@qk_du I don’t think this take is as bad as people are saying. Maybe he did love her before, but after the wish, he loved her more than anyone else in the world, including himself, and chose to die to ser her free. I disagree with this interpretation but I get it.

Just to clarify, Im aware that Bear takes the pills before the wish is made and is fully in control of himself in that moment
My point was that after the wish is made, Bear stops trying to vomit up the pills, which could imply he is only now accepting death to save Nikki

@qk_du You are so stupid ☠️. He *finally* makes the selfless choice to free her, then immediately changes his mind. THEN he gets taken over by a wish entity which is unaware of what he just did and happens to die. I swear this movie has given confidence to the dumbest people alive.
