Hot take: Solana didn’t push people to launch and trade memes, the community and builders made that happen. Base didn’t push people to launch and trade AI, the community and builders made that happen. Abstract has pushed people to do what they believe people should want or need on the chain. They have tried controlling the narrative and culture for what they believe is best for the ecosystem or what their preferences are. On one hand I understand trying to mold your own community but at the sake of pushing down or ignoring what the abstract community was leaning into or generating hype around, I feel like it’s detrimental to organic behavior. Part of that comes with the XP incentives, so they can lead the horse to whichever pale of water that choose which makes it evident what their goal is and what teams they are aligned with. They removed a lot of the gatekeeping that stood tall early on but now it seems like the funneling of behavior into a very narrow channel has turned off a few people. I do think AI infrastructure is important and it’s great they’re focusing on that, the transaction farming and botting behavior under the guise of “agents” is a mess to me. The community is still special to me & I do believe there are some incredible teams and games on the chain but gaming alone is not enough to bring a new chain to the winner circle and survive. Right now, it’s a war of attrition and attention between every chain that is not called Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana. The ones outside of the Big 3 that survive and thrive will be the ones where infrastructure is killer but also where community and ecosystems drive high activity with higher onchain volume. Build the town. Provide the tools. And get out of your own way to let the people be the source of success.

I built a product on Abstract that I wanted for myself & it ended up growing into something bigger. A few have tested it but want more users to mess around with it so I can find any bugs and kinks Then I'll prob push it a bit next week or so If you use defi on Abstrac, hmu.
