Honest question Explain to me as a fan why I should give a single shit about tv ratings. Second time now we've had a weather delay for a Sunday night race. Maybe if NASCAR didnt schedule this at the very end of the weekend they would have more flexibility.

@ChaseElliott_24 @NASCAR TNT sucks. Knowing this rain was coming any other TV provider probably would have let them move it up an hour. That’s the problem. The TV provider dictates the start time. NASCAR probably asked TNT and they said no.

@KellyCrandall That race was originally scheduled for Saturday. We started this race at 7 est on a Sunday night with rain in the forecast, race whenever but don’t be surprised when ratings suck.

We started the 2015 summer race at Daytona at 11:42 pm (thanks recent Facebook memories), so think of another argument if you were about to say it’s too late to race.
