LUCI takes 4 ‘contraction layers’ (16 CNOTs, 4 measure-resets) for a syndrome extraction round. ACID takes 2 or 3. Example circuit here stasiu51.github.io/Shatter-Forwar… (I also hacked Craig Gidney’s Crumble to help with visualisation).

@DrTonyPadilla @numberphile @sixtysymbols I love hearing/reading Nick Lane from UCL. He's been a guest in some v cool episodes, including Lex Fridman, Sean Carroll, and I've recently enjoyed an "In our time" on mitochondria.

Once again, Lluis Masanes surprises me with a new topic. This time: a discrete version of AdS/CFT for spins. What never changes is his originality and competence.

Having a great time trying to correct our #quantum errors in #Benasque, #Spain at the Fault Tolerant Quantum Technologies workshop @FTQTBenasque.
Great talks, great discussions, making new and meeting old friends.
Who do you recognize in the picture?

💥 Pow! Our Collision Clustering decoder packs quite the (#quantum error-correcting) punch – allowing arbitrarily long memory experiments to run in a hardware decoder for the first time.

I've been quiet on X lately. But one thing you can always rely on X for is a good place to plug job vacancies.
We're hiring! With some big plans ahead (watch this space for news).

Introducing Amiguity Clustering, a new decoder for general qLDPC codes more accurate and 150x faster than BP-OSD at realistic physical error rates. We can decode IBM's 144-qubit 'Gross code' in 280μs with no loss of logical fidelity over BP-OSD.

@javier110 Que no hay solución en dimensión finita se puede ver sacando la traza de [A, B] = i, que da 0 = i * dim(H)

💧 New research alert! Read our (award-winning!) arXiv paper for simulating a little-understood type of quantum noise - leakage.
📣It's the first sim of a stability expt AND shows how you can use leakage mobility to fight leakage: scirate.com/arxiv/2406.040…

Congrats team! We've just placed second in the Fujitsu #Quantum Simulator challenge for simulating *qutrits* (not a typo!) It’s helped us understand a type of noise called leakage + was the first sim of a stability experiment Find out more: riverlane.com/news/riverlane…
