I probably didn't do a good job of articulating my point while making breakfasts and lunches for everyone in my house this morning. I like Cam Young a lot. By all indications, he seems like a good person. He also worked very hard to get to where he is. My point, the OG post claims "Cam Young is America" and he is a representation of success from the 1%. It doesn't mean he also isn't a hard worker. But he was definitely given resources, access, and opportunity that other hard working talented people will never even sniff.

Look, I love Cam Young's game, and he seems like a good guy. Cam Young was born on 2nd. The son of a club pro in one of the best courses on the East Coast. He had every opportunity and resource available to him to go do this. Something that is available to about .5% of golfers on the planet.

The punishment is fair to post the times publicly. First off, Sleepy can do whatever they want. Plus it’s funny and you can give your peers some crap…so it’s at least cheap entertainment at the club. We played there the other day. The worst part was getting drinks at the halfway house a couple of times…killed 10 mins each time. After that it was a real hoof to get back on pace. We definitely had to hustle 🤣 🏃

One for the slow golfers out there: If you play in over 4 hours at Sleepy Hollow (and many other clubs of stature) you will get your name posted for the whole club to see. Is this a fair punishment? To the slow golfers, do you still think it’s okay to be slow? Does the fact that great golf clubs would punish you for slow play finally make you consider that maybe you are a problem? Keep in mind, this doesn’t mean you have to rush. It just means being ready to hit and not acting like you are trying to win a major with every 3 footer.
