It would be wise for Apple/MLS to add the transfer fees for the guys they are criticizing: Latte Lath: $22 million Berterame: $15 million Alladoh: $4.5 million #doop #mls #wearethea #intermiamicf 📹: APPLE|MLS

Competitive Advantage: Beyond the physical and tactical demands, there is also a strong mental component. The European structure sees clubs competing across the Champions League, Europa League, and Conference League, often asking smaller clubs to punch well above their weight. Teams like Bodø/Glimt from Norway, have shown how competitive these environments can be when facing some of Europe’s biggest clubs. For these reasons, smaller European leagues remain particularly interesting markets when looking for players who can adapt quickly to the demands of MLS. 📸: bodoglimt/ig

League Fit: It is no coincidence that these players fit so seamlessly in Major League Soccer. Many of these leagues rank among the most physically demanding in Europe. The Danish Superliga, for example, ranks in the top 10 for high-intensity running distance per player per match, indicating that players are consistently required to press, close space, and play in transition.

MLS Market Interest | 🇳🇴🇸🇪🇳🇱🇧🇪🇩🇰 After watching the opening weeks of the MLS season, something that continues to stand out is how well players from leagues in Denmark, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, and Belgium often thrive in MLS. 📸: @sandiegofc

I've been really impressed with what I've seen from Wessam Abou Ali so far. He's super versatile, able to drop into midfield and link play as well as running on the back shoulder. Very Petar Musa-esque. Imo he's one of the 5-6 best No. 9s in MLS right now.

@quentinhall_ I could see him holding up against one of these defensive style teams we have in the group stage, but the teams who have wingers storming down Ream’s flank would scare me.

There’s an issue with build-out play in youth soccer that intertwines recruitment focus with coaching issues: Centerbacks default to passing wide to their fullbacks in the defensive third. “Safe Option” —> Pressing Trigger —> Turnover

@Stars_StrikesHQ Honestly, I don’t think anyone right now can deliver what he can on the ball. However, physically, you’re right. He will face challenges with his pace. I personally wouldn’t play him unless his form was incredible. The US doesn’t have the luxury to roll the dice.

@quentinhall_ I love Ream's calmness and execution with the ball. His mobility worries me particularly if he plays some pacey attackers in the upcoming friendlies and WC. Do you think any other US LCB's can demonstrate enough ball skills to deserve World Cup starts?

Verdict: Anello is the wildcard Philadelphia has been needing. Controversially, he isn’t the traditional playmaker everyone thought was coming. Bradley Carnell’s philosophy aligns with the players profile, therefore this isn’t a square peg in a round hole situation. With Anello you’ll get transition speed, 1v1 threat, and shot-volume; all the things Philadelphia will be lacking without Quinn Sullivan.

Fit with Philadelphia: Two things are blatantly clear with this signing. 1. He adds transition threat 2. His pressing intent is high For Philadelphia’s model these two aspects are golden. What they are getting is a man on the pitch to directly carry out what Carnell is requesting. Anello fits like a glove in the high energy, transition focused squad they are building.
