@HibaNasr @PahlaviReza @AsharqNews This man won’t even leave his life in Maryland (one of the most boring states in history) to lead his “people” in Iran

@ChrisStigall @RepThomasMassie @Patriot4444 @CarriePrejean1 There’s nothing “Islamist” in her advocacy. You’re just an ethnofascist that believes in Jewish supremacy and you must know about history to know how those idealogies end up
English

@quesoliker @RepThomasMassie @Patriot4444 @CarriePrejean1 No, if I was that she’d be covered head to toe with slits for eyes. Which - not for nothin - she might consider in her Islamist advocacy

i strongly suspect he's running but if he doesn't, then there's going to be a very loud chorus calling for tucker

WaPo: JD Vance has maintained in recent private conversations that he hasn’t yet decided whether he will seek the presidential nomination for 2028. One of those people cited Vance’s fourth child, due this summer, and said the vice president has put a priority on his family life and is unlikely to make a final decision until he and Usha Vance see how another baby affects their lives.

@thomaschattwill @haugejostein Donald Trump could’ve been explained away as an anomaly in he’d won one term and then faded away. But he won twice. Trumpism will outlive him
English

@haugejostein The crucial caveat here is that it is The U.S. "under Donald Trump," no the U.S. per se

BREAKING: Rep. DeGette gets heated with a constituent pressing her on why she voted to send bombs to Israel:
"If this the only issue that you care about is this issue, then you should not vote for me"
DeGette, who's 68, is facing a primary challenge from @MelatKirosCO.

@clashreport Makes sense. The French are stupid but they’re not stupid
English

@lonny_wilcox @camilapress Why would you lie to people and pretend that’s not what they are?
English

@camilapress I'd love to be there when you said it to their faces. The world is entirely to full of people needing to be knocked on their asses.

@mattparlmer Using these on long fly missions has to be obscenely expensive, no?
English

This continued expenditure of scarce standoff munitions plus the F-35 incident gives me the strong impression that claims of air superiority are wildly overstated

@mattyglesias What if the ‘look’ is opposing the president’s bad policies?
English

Trump approval is now below where he was in his first term.
But views of Dems are worse than they were in 2018; definite need to try to come up with ways to do a "new look."

@ChrisStigall @RepThomasMassie @Patriot4444 @CarriePrejean1 “Mouthing off”? Who the fuck are you? Mullah Chris Stigall?
English

@RepThomasMassie @Patriot4444 @CarriePrejean1 What exactly was her heroism? Mouthing off to a Jewish colleague on a volunteer board gathered to discuss faith?
English

The risk of Trump doing this just because he thinks it would be cool to watch from the situation room is way too high for comfort and you know I’m right about that

@seanrcallaghan @DashaBurns I guess they figure they can’t peddle it through Axios atm so let’s push it through Politico

@DashaBurns This is the hundredth fake "Trump is fed up with Netanyahu" story. We get these about once every five days. We're ignoring them now.

NEW: Sources tell me frustration inside the Trump White House is mounting over Israel’s latest strikes — with one person familiar describing them as “very reckless.”
Qatar has privately warned U.S. officials that targeting energy infrastructure “needs to be stopped,” the source says.

@DashaBurns What frustration? The White House backed the attack. Why is the press trying to cover for the White House?
English

An observation from watching more than three years of Ukrainian strikes on Russian refineries, oil export terminals and pipeline nodes. They burn spectacularly and cinematically. But Russia — under sanctions and without access to Western spare parts and technologies — has more or less managed to mitigate the impact and repair most of the damage. Gulf states, with all their resources, can fix things infinitely faster.
