The hackathon marked the culmination of a year-long learning journey through the Kaushali curriculum, where students build computational thinking, design and critical thinking, and foundational coding skills. What stood out was not just the innovation, but the intent behind it.

A child marriage awareness app. An ML-powered phishing scam detection tool. A GPS-enabled wearable with a panic button, built specifically to protect women targeted by witch-hunting in rural Odisha. These are not startup founders or engineers. #FutureSkillsforThrivingCareers

With support from her teacher and access to hands-on learning tools, she began participating more in class and creating digital stories rooted in her lived experiences. When teacher support meets 21st-century skills, not only do learners build, they report better well-being too.

The opening session of ‘Hack to the Future 3.0 – Odisha Edition’ commenced today at IIT Bhubaneswar. Centered on the theme “Shaping Futures, Young People Solving, Learning and Exploring Emerging Technologies,” the event brings together students from 13 districts of Odisha.

We worked with @questalliance and @WeOink to embed several easter eggs throughout the illustration. Elements like square apples and googly eyes in purple trees represent the amalgamation of physical and digital worlds, suggesting the abstractness of this space.

𝐉𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐚𝐧 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐈𝐈𝐓 𝐃𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐛𝐚𝐝 Under the guidance of JEPC, a total of 47 teachers from Deoghar, Dumka and Ramgarh districts participated in an exposure visit to IIT (ISM) Dhanbad, organised by QUEST Alliance in collaboration with IIT Dhanbad. Through hands-on sessions in robotics, Arduino and 3D printing, teachers explored how technology can be leveraged for real-world problem-solving. The visit reflected the Ideathon to Hackathon approach, fostering creativity, collaboration and critical thinking among educators.
