The CCO of Netflix has openly said they let algorithms decide which shows they consider successful or not successful.
If enough viewers don’t finish the first season within 28 days, they cancel it.
Keep in mind they released 1899 literally 3 days before the World Cup started.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Netflix have done irreparable damage to their brand by constantly cancelling things, they have effectively trained their own audience never to get invested in any of their shows. It's short term cost-cutting, long-term harm.

Argued with someone who called the woodlands of Wisconsin “beautiful Norwegian woods” and I said “you mean Ojibwe woods, Norwegian woods are in Norway” she said Norwegians had been there for generations. Cried when I corrected her again and now I’m the mean one…again. 🙄
