@ZephonSacriel Even saying "helps the gaang" is downplaying. She is PART of the gaang. She is part of the group literally one episode less than Zuko and had previously helped them directly twice and indirectly once. I'll never not be mad she is banished by the writers completely.

Completely forgotten by later writers despite helping the Gaang so much.

@ArchonJaeger @taskmasterfan she was barely in s2 right before being killed off “for Vel’s development” according to tony gilroy, she was absolutely fridged. It’s not undermining her death to call out the trope either.

cinta’s death was handled disrespectfully, both coming off as “bury your gays” due to the timing after her and vel making up, and ALSO as the death of one of the only women of colour on the whole show (and universe) !! just because representation exists, it doesn’t make it GOOD

@tavrium_ Debbie is the most social character over the entirety of the show and this is because she's the most important non hero character. Her humanity is the lifeblood of the show. It's also why her isolation in season 2 is so depressing.

@tavrium_ It has been an important plot point since season 1 that being a hero costs everyone, not just the men and not just the women, a normal life. You are missing the forest for the trees thinking this is a quality of misogynistic writing to the women. (4/5)
