Quicksilver v1.8.1 is now live on mainnet, after proposal 61 passed earlier today, and our wonderful validators managed to enact the upgrade with only 30s downtime! Onwards we march!

Proposal 61 is now live for upgrading Quicksilver to v1.8.1. This reverts a change introduced in v1.8.0 that shouldn't have been enacted until the SDK v0.50 upgrade, and inadvertently broke amino (ledger) signing. Quicksilver was upgraded to v1.8.0, which bumps sw versions and adds a new gov message type for executing arbbitrary txs on an ICA account. The upgrade has taken ~100min to finish due to issue on wrong binary. Oldcat’s second long upgrade today. My lucky day. @quicksilverzone

After an unplanned delay, v1.8.0 of Quicksilver is now live. The delay was due to an issue with the uploaded binary being a testnet version, causing 16% of the voting power to end up on a different fork, requiring more voting power to come on line to get the chain running again safely. This has now been resolved and we have resumed normal operations. This brings us to Cosmos-SDK v0.47 and associated dependencies. We will be upgrading again in the near future to bump to the v0.50 of the Cosmos-SDK. We thank all our validators for their hard work as usual 🥰
