@r618 @kareem_carr I dunno, I'd say most code I ask it for throws errors. Straight forward low level snippets - I'm no coder. So I'm talking calculated fields in Google's Data Studio where I'm not sure of best metrics. I have to fix the code parts. Good for Tampermonkey javascript, not much else.

One reason I’m more pessimistic about AI than many power users is most power users treat them mainly as a coding agent. I use AIs to read my technical notes, analyze arguments, extrapolate new directions, and construct summaries. I give them technical material, ask questions, and make them walk through their reasoning line by line, much the way I was quizzed as a PhD student. You can tell when they don't fully understand things. After hundreds, maybe thousands, of hours doing this, you start to notice how weird and incomplete their understanding of reality is.

@FeltSteam @Chrisgpt @jimstewartson look, the usual "CS" lingo doesn't apply for these anyway (nobody knows precisely how they work internally.. and i used 'sophisticated' for a reason - unprecisely) but it's beside the point : the search space are some helices or something so that shifts this already..
