There are obvious exceptions to debut novel length so exceeding those counts doesn’t automatically mean they don’t know. But….I suppose most don’t know lol.

Let's talk manuscript length. I just got a query for a 320,000 word manuscript. Who can tell me why that was an automatic no, which always makes me sad? You aren't ready to query until you have learned everything you can & incorporated it. #querytrenches #amquerying #asktheeditor

I hate days where you have tons planned for your WIP, but life gets in the way and you can’t do any of it

@Thewriting_cats I think about the Shannara Chronicles- SPOILER - you’re in a fantasy world with elves and dwarves then realize it’s post apocalyptic earth. I like that kind of stuff but not so much what you’re describing.

Do you like or hate unexpected genre changes in a book? I’m currently reading the Wolves of London and it switches from crime to steampunk half way through. I’m not sure what I think. #amreading #writingcommunity #reader #writing
