@Oliveresuana I give credit to Erik Ten Hag for finding the best position for him. Currently, he is playing the same role offered in Scotland and that's quite impressive per what I have seen he forward going rather than being a mere defensive midfielder.

McTominay was never really built to be a defensive midfielder. People always misprofled him and expected the man to drive possession, which is one of his biggest weaknesses. He's a box-to-box, and those lung-busting runs of his can be deadly. But the club never really let him shine in that role. If United had the right players to cover for him when he made those attacking runs. He could've been a serious goal threat. His instincts for goals is fascinating.
