@TonyMichaelX Gross , most ppl didn’t have this. Dog whistling to white ppl over lost/stolen shit most never had. And if so, they were privileged. There have always been more poor wht ppl than any other race. What you and they miss is feeling superior.

@CaitlinPacific @nytopinion They don’t vote, so why do we care if they protest? A better article would examine why young people are not involved in the democratic process. It’s obvious why white boomer are the ones we see at N K rallies. Everyone else is too tired, broke, and jaded.

That’s the generation that pressured Nixon to accelerate the end of the Vietnam war. As the protests got larger he could hear them from inside the Oval Office. The Boomers Are Protesting Trump. Where Is Gen Z? nytimes.com/2025/11/24/opi… via @NYTOpinion

@RobSandIA Some of us who fear your campaign are Democrats! Roll out your policies, pls. Acting smug won’t get you over the line, and we don’t care about you or your opponents if you can’t win.

You’ll notice the Republicans who fear this campaign are just insiders. The other ones — ordinary Iowans — said they are joining us. wsj.com/politics/meet-…

@krassenstein Wow, it’s almost like having strict immigrarion laws, a homogenous population, functional families, zero tolerance for crime, and no DEI consultants… actually works.

I just returned from two weeks in Japan, and I have to be honest, it really opened my eyes to how far behind the U.S. is falling in so many basic ways. Some things that stood out: - In two weeks across some of Japan’s most densely populated cities, I saw only two visibly homeless people. - I saw one person who appeared to be struggling with addiction. - High-speed rail made affordable, clean, efficient transportation the norm, not a fantasy. - I never once felt unsafe letting my kids walk freely beside me in public. - Despite having far fewer public trash cans, Japan’s streets had a fraction of the litter. - The country’s reduced income inequality was visible everywhere, from housing to public services. I already know what some right-wing folks will say: “It’s because Japan has low immigration” or “It’s not run by Democrats.” But those are lazy excuses and distractions from the real issues. The truth? We’ve normalized dysfunction in the U.S., and we make excuses for it instead of demanding better.

@IAGovernor @realDonaldTrump @EDSecMcMahon Why then are our number sliding? How is it that we measure worse off in every way since your tenure began, yet ppl believe you when you lie about how we “lead”? We are worse off economically, environmentally, and socially. No wonder you are quitting.

Iowa is a leading example of why states are best positioned to reform America’s education system. Thank you President @realDonaldTrump and @EDSecMcMahon for empowering states to improve education. Can’t wait to show you the great things happening in Iowa schools!
Secretary Linda McMahon@EDSecMcMahon

As students head back to school, I will travel across our great nation to visit classrooms, listen to voices on the ground, and spotlight the incredible work happening at the local level. Learn more below 📚✏️ ed.gov/about/initiati…

@IAGovernor Too bad they will all be leaving Iowa to get jobs because we have the worst economy in the country in terms of GDP growth. Thanks to you and Republican leaders.

It’s so great to see Iowans engaging with STEM at an early age! Programs like STEM Scale-Up are getting our students excited about learning and problem solving, setting them up for future success!

@IAGovernor How about the shortages and lack of refrigeration ? Poorly planned. Poorly executed. This is according to the workers tasked with managing the distribution. Details you don’t care about. $40 mo/child is paltry.

@Izemthinks @ettingermentum No they don’t. The FED needs to drop rates when the economy is in a recession not to keep it from slowing down bc of some the maniacs in power.

@ettingermentum Awesome, so then when the economy actually crashes, the FED will do what? It won’t be able to lower rates then. That’s it only lever in a recession which we will have in the next 5 years no matter who is president.

21 years ago today Pat Tillman was murdered. His death is described as “accidental” friendly fire but the US Army ordered his combat armor and diary burned to hide evidence. He had emailed Noam Chomsky to express his desire to become an anti war advocate after his deployment
