Almost a third of newly-qualified midwives say they are unable to find work, despite a so-called 'chronic' shortage of midwives in maternity care. That's according to the industry body the Royal College of Midwives. It says many of its members are having to turn to other sectors - including retail, hospitality and cleaning - to try and find a job. @mahatir_pasha reports.

Parents of children with special educational needs - known as SEND - could be forced to have their children re-assessed as they move from primary to secondary school according to government plans that have been leaked. It would put more pressure on families who say they are already increasingly being ‘forced’ to quit their jobs, reduce their hours or take out loans - because a lack of support. @SarahCorkerNews reports.

@GMB I have one son who is now home schooled as they wont provide funding for specialist they are pushing mainstream who can't meet need. Other son is in mainstream, his teacher is having to give him one to one because council think a budget of a 1000 pound a year can pay for a 1 to 1

@GMB The mum who says it's ridiculous that her violent 5 year old can only go to school for a few hours, is it ridiculous to think that he can be violent towards staff and they just have to accept it?

@GMB If the current support is out of date or circumstances have changed, then the children should be reassessed. Or is it purely the parents know their children won’t qualify, but it’s all so convenient for them so they don’t want it to end? 🙄

Details of private flights to and from London Stansted Airport are being "assessed" by police after the former Prime Minister Gordon Brown claimed Jeffrey Epstein used the airport to traffic girls in and out the UK on what was called his "Lolita Express." Brown alleged the victims were transferred between planes at the airfield in Essex. @lornashaddick reports from Stansted Airport.

The Americans have woken up to the fact that they were lied to. They were told that the UK had no choice but to surrender the Chagos Islands. This was simply not true, and now they are angry with us.

The depravity of the Stakeknife story is hard to put into words. The British state faciliated evil acts against innocent people and continue to block justice. It must also be said that it was the IRA who first gave this serial killer a licence to torture and murder for them.
