It takes exceptional parenting and sacrifices of parents even if the kid is one in a million kinda talent. I learnt this while reading about Maria Sharapova. Her father in Russia made unbelievable sacrifices to bring her to USA, did exhausting jobs to pay for her tennis lessons. Even had to separate her from her mother. Then I saw this pattern in almost every great generational talent. Their parents went 2 steps ahead than the kid in hard work. Saina Nehwal’s father broke his PF for her training. Took her to Hyderabad. Richard Williams, father of Williams sisters learnt tennis first to train his daughters. In Sooryavanshi’s case, his father sold his farmland for his son’s career. Stands tall behind his son dealing with fame and pressure in international cricket. Many people have that talented kid and they feel great about it. But, they fail to move extra mile for the kid and just pass on the responsibility on the kid. Then the kid and parents get stuck in a loop where they regret or blame things on each other. If you cannot invest energy, money, and time on kid, do not expect him/her to do something exceptional. Everyone must read about Maria Sharapova and more than her, about her father Yuri Sharapov.

Yesterday, I posted about my sibling’s petrol car getting stranded on the road due to a fuel pump failure. The company itself confirmed it was linked to a fuel blending issue related to ethanol. But unfortunately, I had to delete the post because of immense pressure from higher authorities. For the first time in my life, I was forced to take down something purely out of concern for family safety and precautions. The unfortunate truth is that whenever someone speaks up about ethanol-related issues, attempts are made to silence them. This may continue, but these problems won’t disappear and tomorrow it could be my own car stranded the same way. #ethanol @nitin_gadkari

I have worked in R&D of Tata Motors. Tata would test 10's of vehicles over lakhs of Kms of single model over years before vehicle launch. Heck, they would just smash 4-5 vehicles for crash testing & safety rating. The change this massive in fuel system of nation would require testing & validation across different brands of all petrol 2W& 4W vehicles spanning across 100's of vehicles over few years before giving all clear. While different agencies claim E20 compatibility, an RTI requesting test reports to be made public was rejected 😅

I have written to the Chief Minister @Dev_Fadnavis Ji demanding a high-level enquiry into the shocking restriction of public access to the BKC City Park by MMRDA officials. A public park built and maintained using taxpayers’ money cannot be converted into a private recreational space for a select group of bureaucrats and their families. Those responsible for using public funds for the maintenance and upkeep of a garden that is being used exclusively by families of a few officials must be suspended immediately pending enquiry. Public land belongs to the public.
