On this day, 39 years ago, the Energia rocket made it's maiden flight carrying Polyus, a laser space weapon testbed, paving the way for the first and only flight of a Buran orbiter a year later. In the spirit of tradition, here's a rundown.

Bizim Cumhuriyet'in bile tarih anlatımında uzun yıllar Osmanlı öcü idi.

A disturbing consequence of Zionist anti-communism is how simply recognizing the millions of victims of Hitler's anti-Soviet genocide is now deemed antisemitic. The West is committed to collectively forgetting what the Nazis did to the Soviet people as part of Generalplan Ost. The genocide of the Jews is recognized and commemorated in Russia, but it’s not enough to honour the memory of Jewish victims—apparently those former Soviet governments must also deny the genocide of their own people to accommodate the ethnonarcissism of another group that wants to claim exclusive victim status. The Nazis perpetrated multiple genocides against different groups, and to deny this reality is to downplay the sheer scale of Nazi barbarism.

MİT'deki kapalı devre sistemlerin hacklenmesini geçtim, sızan veri başlıklarında "Risk Skoru" ve "Mobil Kullanım" gibi istihbaratla alakası olmayan ticari profilleme metrikleri var. Tahminimce eski mernis(101m), e-nabız ve şirket sızıntılarını birleştirip, MİT diye itelemeye çalışıyorlar. Tam script kiddie işi.

‼️🇹🇷 A detailed and cleaned version of the MIT (Milli Istihbarat Teskilati / Turkish National Intelligence Organization) personnel database has allegedly been leaked on a popular cybercrime forum. ‣ Threat Actor: SiberSLX ‣ Category: Data Breach ‣ Victim: MIT (Milli Istihbarat Teskilati) / Turkish National Intelligence ‣ Industry: Intelligence / Government The threat actor claims to be the same individual who originally leaked MIT data with national identifiers, and has now released an extra detailed and cleaned version. The data includes: ▪️ TC Identity Number (National ID) ▪️ Full Name, GSM, Email, Password ▪️ Date and Place of Birth ▪️ Mother and Father Names with TC Numbers ▪️ Hometown (province, district, village) ▪️ Current Address (province, district) ▪️ Family Sequence Number and Individual Sequence Number ▪️ Risk Score ▪️ Age Group and Age Category ▪️ Estimated Education Level ▪️ Marital Status (Medenihal) ▪️ Gender (Cinsiyet) ▪️ Registration Type (Kayit Tipi) ▪️ GSM and Email Availability Flags ▪️ East/West Region (Dogu/Bati) ▪️ Mobile Usage Level ▪️ Family/Individual Ratio The actor stated they hope MIT takes this seriously and ensures their personnel are protected from ransomware.

It’s a mix of university rankings being heavily biased and how the Russian system actually works. Global league tables heavily reward things like English-language publications, international collaboration, reputation surveys and university-based research funding. But in Russia, a lot of serious research is conducted in institutes, so it doesn’t show up in the metrics. At the same time, academic funding is relatively weak, so top STEM talents go straight into industry as fast as they can because that’s where the real money and applied work are. So that's how you end up with the apparent contradiction of lower-ranked universities, but strong outputs in maths-heavy and technical fields.
Mathelirium@mathelirium

Can someone explain this. How do Western university rankings keep telling us one story about Russia, while actual technical depth keeps telling another? Russia is routinely absent from the top 100 prestige lists, yet keeps showing up as cutting-edge in programming, mathematics-heavy engineering, signal processing, aerospace, and defense technology. So, what exactly are these rankings measuring...serious STEM formation, or a bundle of institutional fashions that has little to do with mathematical and scientific strength? A school system that still pushes hard algebra, physics, and chemistry from an early age will produce a different kind of graduate. That difference shows up later in industry, research, and strategic technology. The bias is not subtle.
