I've modified the clone case a little to ensure cables fit but the final result looks great. The games run well, the system has crisp RGB output and switches on the board for 50/60Hz and NTSC U/J options ensuring all my Euro games work flawless. Virtua Racing compatibility too

To my surprise the chips on the board is Sega badged and not FPGA based. Bonus.

I recently purchased this Genesis 3 replacement board for a Genesis 3 I purchased some time ago. I didn't know at the time but the Genesis 3 I'd purchased was a clone system with inbuilt games, composite output and poor emulation. #Sega #Genesis #Megadrive

Finally got around to working on one of the Atari 2600 Jr I have in the repair backlog. Case cleaned, CleanComp installed and working nicely via S-Video with the Retro Monitor from @clusteruk Having this monitor to test with is a huge time saver. So many inputs on a single device

@skyway_73 I did check but can't remember. It was an Atari machine so maybe warlords or some other 4 player cab. Was trackball controls is that helps 😁

Yeah, yeah, it's not festive, but this was Mean Machines' Xmas '92 cover - complete with huge color Mario hologram. We basically thought, screw Santa, let's go full-on games. Retrospectively, I do think we should have put some snow on the logo. That would have been perfect!

35 years ago, I was busy reviewing Ocean's remarkable conversions of Taito's super-popular Chase HQ race-and-chase coin-op. All versions were terrific, but the Spectrum version was nigh on miraculous. Perhaps the system's greatest coin-op port? Yep. It really was that good.
