How's everyone feeling about the ban today?

@Mengu09 It's alright, Mengu; it's not your fault—you're an enthusiast. The issue that bothers the community is that the format is clearly managed by people who don't play it often. It would be like me managing Commander: I don't play it and don't understand a thing about it, so to me.

I expressed my opinion on the Pauper banlist a bit too strongly, and it ended up upsetting some of the spikiest members of the Pauper community, a community I genuinely care about. I'm a Spike myself, and even though I don't get to play as much Pauper as I'd like, I'm incredibly excited to commentate Paupergeddon next week. I didn't expect them to ban anything from the new set, but The Fantasticar and Hawkeye's Bow can gtfo. Will be playing Premodern & Pauper until the proper changes are made across formats.

@GavinVerhey 2/2 a red deck that extracts more value from a "UX" card than the actual UX decks do. But go ahead and keep arguing with people who don't even play or live the format.

@GavinVerhey I don't think that "lot of discussion" yielded any results; nothing is going to change. You guys are too cowardly, or the members just don't understand Pauper Madness Burn dominates the leagues every day

@Mengu09 The problem isn't Snacker; a fragile two-card combo like that already exists—it's called Tribe. I think that, aside from Snacker, Refurbished is a broken card; it never loses its value, whether in the early game or the end game.

A 214 players RCQ happened on MTGO and zero copies of this combo deck Top8ed. While I think a 2 cards combo that costs 1-2 mana has no place in Pauper at all, the deck may be bearable for a while and acceptable to play few months with to shake things up in Pauper. @GavinVerhey Seriously, Snacker's time has come; these Modern sets always break Pauper. Now that Affinity has gained *Urtron*, it wouldn't be a bad idea to ban Refurbished—Jund would still be playable without it, and we've already seen Heisen win a Challenge without the Rat.

Hawkeye's Bow + Seeker of Skybreak combo has now won all three Magic Online Pauper challenges this week. For those who have played with/against it so far - any thoughts? #wotcstaff

My final thoughts on Seeker Combo are that the archetype is broken, but it has one massive problem: it can't beat Mono-Red Madness. If someone manages to implement a strategy that consistently beats Mono-Red, then a ban will be inevitable.
