Shifted to as low a calorie diet as I could do. Peanut butter sandwich for lunch, chicken and steamed veggie bag for dinner, Gatorade Zero for drinks.
I went from 220 to 172 in, like 4-5 months. My roommate at the time asked me if I became anorexic.

I was like "what should they call it, it's based on a sequel novel called Heat 2."

Incredibly rare Bramesco L, by the testimony of a lot of auteurs who tried film school and hated it, it's operated by a lot of poofs obsessed with formalism and then after 2 years you're in the hole 25k. I much prefer the YouTube to filmmaker pipeline to the film school route.

@CuntParnassus @tekno_cool @maydahp I would say Marty Supreme is cynical up until the climax and final scene, which is why it did stick with me more than the other two.

@ragged_write @tekno_cool @maydahp I would say plot wise and character wise they are pretty similar but Marty Supreme had a much different tone to me. Like Good Time and Uncut Gems go out of their way to be gritty and realistic and they are both very cynical, Marty Supreme doesn't really do that.

@CuntParnassus @tekno_cool @maydahp Really? How so? Other than the segment with the bees in the concentration camp and the ending, I didn't feel it was that different from the other two. Edited like a feature-length panic attack and focusing on a con man getting further and further up Shit Creek without a paddle.

@ragged_write @tekno_cool @maydahp I mean I can see a lot of the similarities of Good Time and Uncut Gems but I feel Marty Supreme changes up the tone quite a bit and drops a lot of the realism of the other 2 movies.

@tekno_cool @maydahp Not really. The filmmaking and general narratives all feel pretty identical to me, with the exception of maybe Marty Supreme's ending.

I’d be down for this “because it looks cool” mentality if Nolan had more stylistic personality and it was in fact “cooler”. He’s not John Boorman or Frank Miller.

These are supposed to be Laestrygonians according to Nolan. They were giant primitive ogres, believed to be descendants of Laestrygon, a son of Poseidon. Cannibals, ferocious, covered in leather piece of cloths. Why do they wear Medieval armours, almost futuristic??????????

@fiendformojitos Couldn’t disagree more. The editing kills this movie. It’s so rushed you can’t ever sit in a scene. It’s not her fault though. She had to remove 30 mins from the original cut to get it under the max IMAX runtime
