Regarding the Predator Badlands discourse, you can like the film, obviously, but yes it 100% a Disney-fied Predator film. The jokes, the themes, the cute pet sidekicks, manic pixie dream girl, all tropes are hallmarks of Disney and don’t add up with the og franchise.

The family of Lukas Hardeman says their son cracked a joke, which resulted in him being thrown into a stool. Hardeman was then rushed into emergency surgery in Dallas, a two-hour drive. He was left with brain bleeds, swelling, and over 60 stitches. The middle schooler needed to have part of his skull removed to relieve pressure. "My 14-year-old son ... was seriously injured at the Middle School he attends. While sitting in the cafeteria, Lukas made a joke to another student, who then picked him up and body slammed him. Lukas’s head struck a stool attached to the cafeteria table and the ground," Hardeman's GoFundMe read. "My son is only alive today because of Jesus, and he had his hands around his heart," the boy's father said. After a week in the hospital, Lukas returned home to supporters lining the streets.
