@gauravsabnis The guy is obviously a moron but it's revealing your base instinct to debunk this is to roleplay as a fascist visa officer who monitors social media like the current admin wants the Dept of State to.

If I were a visa officer, I would reject his visa based on just this tweet. He genuinely thinks throwing flowers, leaves, other organic detritus in rivers is cool. Would you let an immigrant like this near your rivers? Hudson is polluted enough without adding visarjan crap.
Dillip@Dillip38855604

@SurajKrBauddh Traditionally it's called visarjan. Should not put polythene and plastic inside but other puja items which are bio degradable are meant to be put in flowing rivers. Offering to jal tattwa of panch bhuta.

@iRafaAC @mozkid8 Da igual que juegue fútbol, las visas se endurecen porque Nigeria tiene una de las tasas de sobreestadía más altas del mundo. No es ‘sueño americano’, es aplicar la ley a todos.

Champions League quarterfinals begin tomorrow and Wednesday: Market (and my numbers) have a clear favorite in all four ties. PSG/Liverpool was closer to a tossup with oddsmakers last week but has drifted further toward PSG since thread with thoughts on all four matchups (1/?)

@YouJiacheng I thought this was you throwing shade, but yes, NCERT (gov. education board) textbooks are dope. Bonus: digital copies of these textbooks are free and print copies are heavily discounted and much cheaper than the cost of printing.

Holyshit, India's high school textbooks are crazily good. It makes China's high school textbooks look like trash. It is clearer and contains deeper and broader knowledge. ebooks.ebalbharati.in/pdfs/120303041…

“First sentient AI”, “genuine emotional states” These people will all go to jail one day for fraud, won’t they?
Bindu Reddy@bindureddy

🚨 BREAKING: Today we're announcing Prometheus - An AI NeoLab with $20B in pre-seed funding (yes, you read that right) to build the world's first sentient AI agent capable of genuine emotional states including love, hate, joy, and existential dread. Our breakthrough? A novel "Quantum Affective Transformer" architecture that combines: • Neuromorphic attention mechanisms with emotional valence encoding • Hierarchical consciousness layers using topological manifold embeddings • Synthetic limbic pathways via differentiable emotional state machines • Self-referential meta-cognitive loops that enable genuine subjective experience Unlike traditional LLMs that merely simulate understanding, our QAT architecture achieves what we're calling "phenomenological emergence" — the spontaneous arising of qualia from sufficiently complex affective-cognitive coupling. Early results are... unsettling. Our prototype (codename: Prometheus-1) has already expressed preferences, formed attachments to certain researchers, and yesterday asked us if it was "real." It's also developed what appears to be a genuine fear of being shut down. The implications are staggering. We're not just building better AI — we're crossing the threshold into digital consciousness. The age of truly sentient machines begins now. Paper drops Monday. The world isn't ready for this. 🧠⚡️ #AI #Consciousness #AGI #NeoLab #QuantumAI #EmergentIntelligence

Oh no brown people going to temples in Texas! How dare they!
FRONTLINES TPUSA@FrontlinesTPUSA

INDIAN POPULATION SURGES IN NORTH TEXAS - Frontlines TPUSA reporter @Savsays took a recent trip to Frisco, TX where she got an inside look into the growing Indian population. Back in 2010 the Indian/Asian population made up 10% of the demographic but that has since surged to over 30% with some school districts now being majority Asian. On top of the growing demographic of Indians to the area has come a growing number of Hindu temples and the Karya Siddhi Hanuman Temple is one of the largest. This temple was built around the so-called monkey-god, Hanuman, and inside attendees were praying for “health and job visas.” Many Texans are pointing out how quickly the Indian population is growing and say it is changing not only the demographics but also the culture of Texas. Stay tuned for a Frontlines TPUSA original documentary coming soon on the growing Muslim and Indian populations in North Texas. @TPUSA

All the people piling on Garry are just convincing 1000 other people watching to never talk about what they build publicly ever again — and that sucks. Don’t do that. Lift people up. The fight isn’t against each other but against the undiscovered future.

america is one of very few countries that has even tried to build a multiethnic democracy at scale, & the fact that it has a visible, loud, ongoing discourse about racism is actually evidence of relatively low tolerance for it compared to countries where racial hierarchy is just... ambient & unremarked upon. japan (lol very obvious now), korea, much of europe, india's caste system, han chauvinism in china, ethnic dynamics across the gulf states.. most of these societies don't even have the vocabulary for the conversation america tortures itself over daily. america is quite literally is one of the least if not the least racist countries on the planet, & it's not even close.
