ગુજરાતના ગ્રામ્ય વિસ્તારોને વધુ સારી રોડ કનેક્ટિવિટી મળે અને સારી સરફેસવાળા બારમાસી રસ્તા (ઓલ વેધર રોડ)ની સુવિધા મળી રહે તેવો રાજ્ય સરકારનો અભિગમ છે. આ માટે, રાજ્યના તમામ જિલ્લાઓના પંચાયત હેઠળના જરૂરિયાતવાળા પ્લાન રસ્તાઓના રિસરફેસિંગ અને આનુષંગિક કામગીરી માટે ₹ 2609 કરોડ મંજૂર કર્યા. આ માતબર રકમમાંથી ઉત્તર ગુજરાત વિસ્તારમાં 1609 કિલોમીટરના 487 માર્ગો, દક્ષિણ ગુજરાત વિસ્તારમાં 1528 કિલોમીટર લંબાઇના 499 માર્ગો અને સૌરાષ્ટ્ર વિસ્તારમાં 1059 કિલોમીટરના 272 ગ્રામીણ માર્ગોના રિસરફેસિંગ સહિતની કામગીરી હાથ ધરવામાં આવશે. આ કામગીરી પૂર્ણ થતાં ગ્રામીણ વિસ્તારોનું રોડ નેટવર્ક ઇન્ફ્રાસ્ટ્રક્ચર વધુ સુદૃઢ થશે, અને નાના ગામોમાં પણ આંતરિક તેમજ શહેરો સાથેના વાહનવ્યવહારમાં વધુ સરળતા મળશે.

@nathdwaratemple @vishalbava Visited Shrinathji temple on Fri/Sat. The increase in number of beggars inside the temple complex is deplorable. The money received by the temple & pujaris is enough to feed these people. There were beggars on every step on the way to the Dhaja seva!

@AhmedabadPolice @PoliceAhmedabad @AmdavadAMC There is one adult man on the SINDHU BHAWAN Road who seems to be the gang leader of the beggars. He is seen at all the traffic signals on the road since last 2-3 years. He is the one who directs the children on various signals.

Mass sterilization and vaccination of street dogs nationwide would cost less than half of a major state’s annual Ladli Behna Yojana budget. These are ethical methods to control the dog population and eliminate rabies transmission, methods even responsible dog lovers support. Even PETA supports. A humongous yet achievable task, if only the state and Centre took this issue seriously. This recent incident is from Kushinagar. Thankfully, the boy survived.

આણંદ અને વડોદરાને જોડતા ગંભીરા બ્રિજના ૨૩ ગાળા પૈકીનો ૧ ગાળો તૂટી પડવાથી સર્જાયેલી દુર્ઘટના દુ:ખદ છે. દુર્ઘટનામાં જીવ ગુમાવનાર મૃતકોના આત્માની શાંતિ અર્થે પ્રાર્થના કરું છું. ઇજાગ્રસ્ત થયેલા લોકોની તત્કાલ સારવાર વ્યવસ્થા માટે વડોદરા કલેકટર સાથે વાતચીત કરીને અગ્રતા ક્રમે પ્રબંધ કરવાની સૂચનાઓ આપી છે. દુર્ઘટના સ્થળે બચાવ રાહત કામગીરી માટે સ્થાનિક નગરપાલિકા અને વડોદરા મહાનગરપાલિકાની ફાયરબ્રિગેડ ટીમ બોટ્સ અને તરવૈયાઓ સાથે કાર્યરત છે, તેમજ NDRF ની ટીમ પણ ઘટના સ્થળે પહોંચીને બચાવ કામગીરીમાં જોડાઈ છે. આ દુર્ઘટના અંગે માર્ગ મકાન વિભાગને તાત્કાલિક તપાસના આદેશો આપ્યા છે. આ માટે ચીફ એન્જિનિયર - ડિઝાઇન તથા ચીફ ઇજનેર- સાઉથ ગુજરાત અને પૂલ નિર્માણમાં નિષ્ણાત અન્ય બે ખાનગી ઇજનેરોની ટીમને તાત્કાલિક ઘટના સ્થળે પહોંચીને બ્રિજ તૂટી પડવાના કારણો તથા અન્ય ટેકનિકલ બાબતો પર પ્રાથમિક તપાસ હાથ ધરી અહેવાલ આપવા સૂચના આપી છે.
