6 lakh voters deleted in Kolkata and suddenly the margins look very different. In 2021, Mamata Banerjee’s Trinamool Congress swept all 14 seats. But with revised rolls and narrowing gaps, the Bharatiya Janata Party now looks much closer in key wards. Data from the Election Commission of India suggests a significant shift in voter numbers across Kolkata North and South and that could reshape the battle in 2026. Kolkata may no longer be a comfortable turf for the TMC. The contest just got real.

Ho appena avuto un lungo colloquio telefonico con il Presidente del Libano, il Generale Joseph Aoun a cui ho espresso la solidarietà del Governo italiano per gli attacchi ingiustificati e inaccettabili che sta subendo da Israele. Vogliamo evitare che ci sia una seconda Gaza. Ribadiremo questo concetto anche all’Ambasciatore israeliano che ho convocato alla Farnesina. Condanniamo i bombardamenti sulla popolazione civile libanese, compresi i colpi d’arma da fuoco subiti dai nostri militari @UNIFIL_ per i quali continuiamo a chiedere garanzie di totale sicurezza. Dobbiamo assolutamente evitare un ulteriore allargamento del conflitto che metta a repentaglio la tregua in Iran e la riapertura dello stretto di Hormuz.
