Hi five for @MiPhiSc ! Our JV partner KS Pua, CEO of @Phison_USA met our @PMOindia Narendra Modi in Malaysia today, and is all praise for Modi ji’s vision and ambition for the semiconductor industry. Through our partnership at MiPhi, we are not only collaborating on manufacturing & tech transfer but also training local talent in designing AI and software solutions. With this kind of leadership and partners, am so upbeat about a future where India’s tech journey is moving onward and upward. 🙌

Last year when @rahulsharma had an #analyst roundtable, I could feel that something interesting is brewing. The old #micromax guys - Rahul, #VikasJain and others were seemingly on yet another voyage with the goal of doing something of bigger impact. It might have gone blurred behind the glitter of Chinese OEMs which have been ruling the #smartphone industry for over a decade, the fact remains that #Indian brands (MILK brands) led by @Micromax__India actually led to smartphone adoption in #India. It was these brands which swelled annual smartphone shipments from a mere 15MN to cross 100MN milestone in less than 5 years. Contrary to this, after Chinese OEMs started ruling the roost, we have crossed 150MN in a decade's time. Incidentally, I came across a #podcast where a CEO of a very recent brand was adjudicated 'Tim Cook of India', but the fact remains guys like Rahul, Vikas or #HariOmRai are the ones who contributed much more to Indian mobile ecosystem than what Tim Cook did globally. These gentlemen are no less than Steve Jobs of India. Recently @BhagwatiPL organised a factory visit where Techarc was represented by Harshit Chaturvedi. He has beautifully captured his sentiments along with BPL's achiements in this short span of time which makes them a frontrunner to become a promising #ODM of #ViksitBharat.

Bhagwati Products Limited powers India’s tech revolution—10X growth, 10,000 jobs, and ₹15,000 crore target for FY26! From smartphones to smart factories, BPL is the new ODM engine behind #ViksitBharat. The ship that’s new India is on its best sail ever! Wishing PM @narendramodi ji a blessed 75th birthday for leading it with impeccable vision through high seas and high tides. Great health and happiness to you Sir!

PM Modi asked Rahul Sharma (Micromax co-founder) a technical question on EV cell technology. Even Sharma didn’t expect it. That’s the depth of PM Modi’s grasp, from policy to core tech. 💡🇮🇳 Listen ⬇️

"Great countries are built by great companies." This thought framed a conversation between @rahulsharma, Co-founder of @Micromax__India and @MiPhiSc, and @RNamb, President, @nasscom, in a session that had the audience fully engaged, enjoying Rahul’s stories and candid insights throughout. A serial entrepreneur who co-founded Micromax straight out of college, Rahul has always chosen to build for Indian markets when most were looking West. From pioneering M2M technologies and powering Nokia’s global rise, to creating Micromax’s own products, including the first feature phone with a 30-day battery life and India’s first dual SIM handset, his journey is rooted in frugal and conscious innovation that put customer needs first. The conversation highlighted that while India has made strides in assembly, the real leap will come from designing and producing our own semiconductors and chipsets, rather than primarily building for others. Apple’s iPhone production in India is an encouraging sign, but the true measure of progress will be creating homegrown technology champions that set global benchmarks. #NasscomDES25

Semicon India 2025 was buzzing. PM @narendramodi’s line: 'India’s smallest chip will drive the biggest change in the world' couldn’t have been said at a better time. I was happy to share my two bits in the panel on AI with Shri @abhish18, Sanjay Churiwala (AMD), Ankush Oberoi (Lavorro) and @sanjaylodha . It’s a massive opportunity if unlocked with the right guardrails. Exciting times ahead!

Walking members of the media through our BPL factory yesterday, I saw more than machines at work. I saw a family of more than 10,000 colleagues powering 2 million devices a month, all moving towards a ₹15,000 crore dream. This is the story we are building together.
