@Pete_Collins_ Yes, but having to travel west is somewhat minimized given it’s week 1, and the Seahawks offense would have the same issues.

Defenses are usually ahead of offenses in Week 1, making this a tough opener for the Patriots.

@DanKelley66 It's about supporting someone you care about who is going through a rough time. It by no means excuses their behavior in any way. Best analogy: imagine he was your brother or adult son. You would support them unconditionally while still acknowledging that they royally messed up.

This offseason Mike Vrabel has been an embarrassment to himself and his family while being a distraction to the New England Patriots organization. I don't get burning him at the stake, but I don't get a standing ovation either.

The Lomu pick clearly offers some insurance in case Will Campbell actually can’t play tackle. But I believe the team assumes he will be a swing tackle this year and replace Morgan Moses next year. But it’s a good pick regardless.
