PNR - YYBLUG BA138 Delay: The flight from Mumbai was scheduled to depart at 02:15 IST but did not leave until 03:24 IST (1 hour and 9 minutes late). Heathrow Arrival: Due to the late departure, the flight arrived at London Heathrow (Terminal 5) at 08:19 GMT, which was 1 hour and 4 minutes past the scheduled arrival time. Missed Connection: The connecting flight, BA478, departed Terminal 5 at 08:21 GMT (9 minutes early). This delay made it impossible to board the connection. Rerouting: British Airways rerouted the passengers on Vueling flight VY 6653, which did not depart until 20:50 GMT. Total Delay: Passengers (my husband and i) were stranded at Heathrow for over 12 hours, eventually reaching Barcelona at 12:05 AM the following day.   Financial and Personal Impact The significant delay resulted in substantial non-refundable financial losses and a distressing travel experience: Missed Tours: Pre-booked and non-refundable walking and tapas tours scheduled for February 28 were missed entirely. Transport & Accommodation: Private airport transfers were forfeited. Arrival after midnight necessitated an expensive taxi to the hotel and resulted in the loss of one full day of the hotel booking. Baggage Ordeal: Despite the 12-hour wait at the airport, checked baggage did not arrive in Barcelona until 3 days later, further exacerbating the difficulty of the trip. Inadequate Duty of Care: During the 12-hour ordeal at Heathrow, British Airways provided only two £10 vouchers. One voucher was non-functional, leaving two passengers with only £10 total for food in one of the world's most expensive airports.   This was a traumatic ordeal characterized by a complete lack of support from British Airways staff during a period of extreme stress and exhaustion.

During our recent travel you: ✈️ Caused us to miss our connecting flight to Spain ⏳ Left us stranded at London airport for 12+hours post a 11 hour flight from MUM-LHR 🌙 Delivered us to Spain at midnight, costing us a full day of our itinerary 🧳 Lost our luggage for 4 days 💷 Offered £10 as compensation This is not the standard expected of a world-class airline. My experience with @kimkimtravel: ~200% markup on basic hotels, activities paid but never booked, €50–€70 refunds after ruining entire days, no itemized bill, ~$4k kept as “commission.” No support, no accountability. Feels like daylight robbery. Anyone else? 🚩
