A short update: 📢 While building Pludous (a low code iPaas), I've talked to countless founders & enterprises. One constant? The tech execution gap. That's why I started equalbyte.io For founders: Turning ideas into MVPs at startup speed For enterprises: Moving at startup velocity Because building production-ready software shouldn't be your biggest hurdle.

A feedback on @heydigit car insurance. Currently insured by them, tried renewing via @CRED_club. After payment it mentioned car needs to be inspected, since I dont trust tech (being a techy myself) I opted for physical verification. Since then I received at least 10 calls - sir kaha aana hai. Got fed-up and cancelled that. Opened policybazaar and them moment they asked for phone number started shivering and closed the incognito website. And no this is not a rant, just an honest feedback.

Your only job is to conduct fair exams and you fail in that every other year.
National Testing Agency@NTA_Exams

In continuation of its press release dated 10 May 2026, the National Testing Agency wishes to inform candidates, parents, and members of the public of the following decisions taken in respect of NEET (UG) 2026. NTA had, on 8 May 2026, referred the matters then under consideration to the central agencies for independent verification and necessary action, consistent with its standing commitment to the fair, secure, and credible conduct of the national examinations entrusted to it. 1. On the basis of the inputs subsequently examined by NTA in coordination with the central agencies, and the investigative findings shared by the law enforcement agencies and in order to ensure that there is transparency in the system, the National Testing Agency, with the approval of the Government of India, has decided to cancel the NEET (UG) 2026 examination conducted on 3 May 2026, and to re-conduct the examination on dates that will be notified separately. The inputs received by NTA, taken together with the findings shared by the law enforcement agencies, established that the present examination process could not be allowed to stand. The re-conducted examination dates, along with the re-issued admit-card schedule, will be communicated through the official channels of the Agency in the coming days. 2. The Government of India has further decided to refer the matter to the Central Bureau of Investigation for a comprehensive inquiry into the allegations therein. NTA will extend full cooperation to the Bureau and will provide all materials, records, and assistance the inquiry requires. 3. This decision has been taken in the interest of students and in recognition of the trust on which the national examination system rests. The Agency is conscious that re-conduct will cause real and significant inconvenience to candidates and their families. NTA does not take that consequence lightly. The decision has been taken because the alternative would have caused greater and more lasting damage to that trust. 4. The registration data, candidature, and examination centres opted for in the May 2026 cycle will be carried forward to the re-conducted examination. No fresh registration will be required, and no additional examination fee will be levied. In addition, fees already paid, will be refunded to the students and the exam will be re-conducted using NTA’s internal resources. 5. Further communications, including the re-conducted examination dates and the re-issued admit-card schedule, will be issued through the official channels of the Agency. Candidates and parents are requested to rely only on these official channels and to disregard unverified reports circulating on social media. Lucknow is India’s 3rd Cleanest City. So our team went on ground to check the real condition of the City & Smart City Projects. Before ground reality, understand the politics: MP since 1991: BJP Mayor since 2002: BJP BJP holds 7/9 assembly seats in Lucknow district. Thread🧵

@amuldotexe I have changed my interviewing style. We discuss on problem statement and let candidate develop the application/solution in given time frame. Actually letting them vibe code. Very similar to whiteboarding of DS/Algo. So far not too many complains.

The weird part of turning 39 is realising it's been 16 years since you've been giving interviews and still there's a fair bit of nervousness that comes whenever you start the interview season. It's like unless you have gone through a few interviews, we never really get into the rhythm of what this game will be about. Maybe it is also about the fact that developer interviews are different right now. It is not the same that I saw on the product side or what I saw on the analytics side so there's more unpredictability about what will come my way and whether I'm ready or not. Guess we'll find out ...

I am on other side, was based and settled abroad. - got subsidized edu by indian gov but i think have paid my dues before i moved abroad. Also paying after coming back - i did comeback only for personal reasons (no deshbhakti here) - after coming back(it has been 6 yrs now) i missed my life abroad every single day.
Arnav Gupta@championswimmer

I stayed in India for 8 years after graduating. In those 8 years I ran a mildly successful startup, creating 70+ jobs, and a lot of taxes since we were profitable. My Whatsapp inbox from my teaching time is full of thousands of messages of people getting prestigious high paying tech jobs. After that as an engineering leader at various orgs, hired at least 50+ more people. Paid multiple crores of personal income tax as well. I did more than my fair share of creating employment, creating human capital and contributed enough to pay off my subsidised education (I’ll not deny I got more than good enough education both from school and university, both of which are partly paid for by the government) In those 8 years, of my closest 10 friends, slowly slowly I found 8 of them now have moved outside India. More than half my college group is outside. And eventually on the balance of things, it really started feeling like I’m getting the short end of the bargain and those others who left were getting a better deal in life. I had always assured myself that a) I can always go out whenever I want, I am here by choice b) I’ve consciously stuck to faster growth roles orgs but if I ever wanted to, I can go to big tech too Finally a switch clicked in the head saying if you’re so sure of (a) and (b) why don’t you really just go and see. You can always come back. In the long run I might be proven wrong (I’m aware of stories of one health scare or racism incident or ailing parents that pushes the pendulum back for many), but for now my lived experience only taught me exactly opposite of what Vembu has said below. In fact if 10 years ago I would have even slightly been convinced by the below tweet, today I’m convinced even less by it. From my perspective of the things I sought in life, the equation has only gotten worse not better.

This also shows people have 0 trust in govt and their skill to manage these kind of situations. I remember just when lockdown anounced and i did not buy excess of food items assuming govt has promised and it will be taken care of. I literally had to beg food from people in 3-4 days. So here also blame govt first then people. They are mere reflection of the system governing them
THE SKIN DOCTOR@theskindoctor13

In a low-trust society, most people are openly selfish, habitual rule-breakers, short-term opportunists, and largely devoid of civic responsibility. Even a minor national crisis brings these qualities out in them even more glaringly.

@daddynohara Totally agree. There have been instances (lots of ) where companies have been unethical and should be called out. But eye for an eye makes whole world blind.

I had an offer from an incredibly well-funded startup in early 2020 ($150M+ raised). I was supposed to join their ML team in April. I had already resigned and was serving my notice when COVID hit. HR called and said they were deferring my offer. Assured me the offer was safe and that they just wanted me to join once offices reopened. For the next couple of months we stayed in touch. Every conversation repeated the same thing: the offer is safe. The market was dead, so I spent the time doing research with an ex-advisor. We finally set my joining date: June 1st. In the last two weeks of May I had multiple calls with my future manager. We discussed MacBook configs, projects I’d work on, brainstormed approaches. I even shared my shipping address for the laptop. Two days before joining they rescinded the offer. That day I learned something important: Your employer will not hesitate to rescind an offer or lay you off if it benefits them. You shouldn’t feel guilty about optimizing for yourself either. Everyone is optimizing for their own interests. It’s a ruthless market. An employer has 100 / 1000 / 10000 employees. You only have one job.

Interviewed a backend developer. Guy was at 21 LPA. We offered 28 LPA, roughly a 33 percent hike. He agreed and confirmed joining. Yesterday he emailed saying he got a 32 LPA offer elsewhere and now wants 36 LPA from us. Nonsense. Why agree in the first place. If you are still shopping offers just say it upfront. We stopped interviewing other candidates and waited through the notice period for the joining date. Now two days before joining, he came back with a new price tag.
