One method for energy storage is called vehicle-to-grid integration, where energy can be reabsorbed by the grid when the vehicle is parked. The technology is still in the early stages, Gadh said, noting that challenges exist.

Gadh explained the functions of a V2G charger: a special charger for electric vehicles that power grid companies can disconnect in cases of outages. Additionally, AI technology is developed to monitor driver behavior and preserve and protect future energy supplies.
