💔 A heartbreaking tragedy from Sitamarhi, Bihar A 10-year-old girl and her father lost their lives in a devastating house fire in the Pupri area on April 17. According to reports, the fire broke out in their modest home, possibly due to a gas leak. The young girl, Choti Kumari, was cooking when the incident occurred, while her father, Vinod Kumar, who was bedridden, was inside. She managed to escape the flames once… but ran back inside to save her father. Both were trapped as the fire spread rapidly. Locals rushed to help, but the intensity of the blaze made rescue impossible. A daughter’s courage… a family lost in moments. TO FACILITATE CIVIL SERVICES (PRELIMS) EXAMINATION CANDIDATES, DELHI METRO SERVICES ACROSS THE NETWORK TO COMMENCE FROM 6:00 AM THIS SUNDAY To facilitate the candidates appearing for the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2026 conducted by UPSC this Sunday i.e, 24th May 2026, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) will commence train services from all the terminal stations on its Line 7 (Pink Line i.e, from Majlis Park to Shiv Vihar), Line 8 (Magenta Line i.e, from Krishna Park Extn to Botanical Garden and Deepali Chowk to Majlis Park) and Line 9 (Grey Line i.e, from Dhansa Bus Stand to Dwarka) from 6:00 AM, in sync with other Lines. On Sundays, services on these three Lines generally commence at 7:00 AM. However, this Sunday, services on these Lines are being commenced at 6:00 AM with a 15-minute headway till 07:00 AM, followed by normal train services thereafter as per the Sunday timetable. This special arrangement has been made to ensure seamless transit movement for civil services prelims examination candidates to reach their examination centres on time. Metro services on all other Lines will continue to operate as per the normal Sunday time table, beginning from 6:00 AM onwards.

I am saying this again, India is no longer a country for free and fair business, nor a land of creative freedom. You invest your hard-earned money to build something from scratch, and suddenly 2-rupee Bajrang Dal goons show up at your doorstep to shut it down, just because you try to create a neutral space or say something that doesn’t fit their politics. The attacks on Piyush Bansal and Namita Thapar will push a whole generation of entrepreneurs to leave India. Economic growth depends on a strong ecosystem, and when people don’t feel safe to build or speak, why would anyone stay? On one side, Hindutva goons. On the other, what does the government offer? High taxes, constant Income Tax and ED notices, harassment of the very people trying to create jobs and value. And let’s be clear, this doesn’t happen without political patronage. BJP cannot deny that these mobs are part of the ecosystem that benefits them. You build something, and one day 100 unemployed goons can walk in and destroy it. Is this the environment we want for business and innovation?
