What's happening in Gaza is totally unacceptable.
A school turned shelter for around 12,000 people was hit by Israeli airstrikes again today.
Six of our @UNRWA colleagues are among those killed.
These dramatic violations of international humanitarian law need to stop now.

I am appalled that Israel keeps targeting schools in Gaza — where thousands of displaced people are sheltering — with indiscriminate strikes. My heart goes out to the loved ones of all victims, including the UN aid workers who were tragically killed.
Schools and humanitarian workers must never be targets. There must be accountability for violations of international law, and there must be a ceasefire now.

Just Tragic. #Gaza Six @UNRWA colleagues killed today when two airstrikes hit a school and its surroundings in Nuseirat in the middle areas. This is the highest death toll among our staff in a single incident. Among those killed was the manager of the UNRWA shelter and other team members providing assistance to displaced people. Sincere condolences to their families and loved ones. This school has been hit five times since the war began. It is home to around 12,000 displaced people, mainly women and children. No one is safe in Gaza No one is spared. Schools and other civilian infrastructure must be protected at all times, they are not a target. We call on all parties to the conflict to never use schools or the areas around them for military or fighting purposes. #CeasefireNOW

This person who opts to live a ‘Victorian life’ makes her own butter, which she rolls in flowers and makes pretty hand decorated cakes. In the 19th century, this was in no way ‘slow living’, as such elaborate tasks were usually done by domestic servants who worked 15 hour days.

UNRWA lifesaving assistance is about to end following countries decisions to cut their funding to the Agency. Our humanitarian operation, on which 2 million people depend as a lifeline in Gaza, is collapsing. I am shocked such decisions are taken based on alleged behavior of a few individuals and as the war continues, needs are deepening & famine looms.
