Psychiatric survivors do not need a “clinical assessment” of our experiences. We don’t need psychiatrists to approve of our memoirs. Instead of learning you revert to the only thing you know: diagnosing. This writing is horrific & a grand example of epistemic violence in action.

The first thing you do upon reading a psychiatric survivors memoir, WHO CLEARLY STATES she does not find value in or believe in the medical psychiatric model, is to RE-DIAGNOSE HER and metaphorically force her back into the same system she fought to escape??? Absolute violence.
