@adesertdryad Maybe this Casey Johnston person has something?

I play a game with my youngest son and have for years. The whole game is that I am driving and he is the passenger. I randomly backhand him in the chest pretty hard, then I get the urge invoke the “driver safety act of 1994” which prohibits any retaliation in this instance, for obvious safety reasons.
Then I terrorize him the rest of the drive by fiddling with radio or the visor or the heat. And also smacking him more.

@cringe_genius Most American patriots would never have an officer need to pull a gun on them because they follow the law.
English

@michelletandler That would be good for the majority of the population. 🤷 It wouldn't effect me a lot either way, but something would have to be done about existing mortgages if you don't want serious blowback.

@HotSolanum @PlumedSerpent7 @ArthurBoreman I'm not 100% in agreement with your thread, but it's a far better explanation of these things than I've seen so far. People mostly don't understand ethnicity, either it's formation or it's development.
English

@PlumedSerpent7 @ArthurBoreman Anyway, I gave my best to clarify things.
Feel free to ask more questions if you have them, and I will continue to give my best.^^

@TheLastFarm Or if they somehow moved the whole country to the tropics and did full scale agroecological land alteration to the whole thing.
English

@TheLastFarm Unless they can live on rocks and raw sewage it's still not going to work.
English

@overlook_colony @TheLastFarm I don't expect to ever be making those decisions. I'm having a hard enough time trying to navigate this timeline without my family being on the receiving end.
English

@ram_farm @TheLastFarm agree, just pointing out that certain layers should be eliminated, not re-educated
English

I don’t see how a post-revolutionary American society could function without re-education camps, but I’m open to hearing other ideas

@awarenesss @thomasschulzz Unlikely, but I suppose if the AI boosters/doomers are close to right I guess it could happen. I think they're wrong about how consciousness works though.
English

@ram_farm @thomasschulzz But fusion…! Just as a thought experiment is there any ai/robot degrowth scenario?? Human population continues to decrease and robots stay plugged into solar panels and keep the humans on a tight leash ;) ?
English

@BarkTwain @MarkHertling I read it to that tune and it didn't *quite* work. Close enough that my brain thought it should though.
English

@thomasschulzz @awarenesss I didn't say human labor. I said "activity". The machines are merely human action at one or two steps removed.
English

@bgcts Makes sense. I don't really understand any of it. My warfare tech stack is still set to trebuchet.
English

People are not prepared for what is coming in the very near future. Here's an example. This is being touted for a military application. Just wait till guys figure out they can kill someone they don't like from a distance & not get caught. Mafia. Gangs. Bad neighbors.
I'm not kidding.

We turned TARS from Interstellar into a one-way attack UGV, imagine this is the last thing you see in a trench some day
English

@pythonrocksnake @fogellxy Depends on location and how many people from elsewhere show up. But most places, yeah.
English

@fogellxy Eh, hunting’s only really useful for survival in the fairly narrow circumstance where you survive but somehow the vast majority of the population hasn’t. There’s just not enough game to go around.
