@dmuthuk Sir, with due respect, we are not a poor country. We are a developing country with $2800 per capita income. On the freebies point, I completely agree that at one point it will be irrational, but it should be given to BPL families with strict financial audits.

Aviation in Hosur Aviation in Hosur is split into two parts: an existing private airstrip and a highly debated, proposed international airport. 1. The Existing Private Airport (TAAL Aerodrome) Currently, Hosur is home to the Hosur Aerodrome (located in Belagondapalli, about 10 km from Hosur). • Ownership: It is privately owned and operated by Taneja Aerospace and Aviation Limited (TAAL) • Usage: It is not open to public commercial airlines (like IndiGo or Air India). Instead, it is used for general aviation, private charter flights, aircraft manufacturing, and Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) services. Companies like Air Works use it to paint and service widebody commercial jets. 2. The Proposed "Hosur International Airport" Because Hosur is a massive industrial and manufacturing hub (home to TVS, Ashok Leyland, Tata Electronics, etc.) and sits just across the border from South Bengaluru, the Tamil Nadu government recently proposed building a massive, brand-new Greenfield Hosur International Airport. • The Plan: TN wants to build a commercial passenger and cargo airport spanning over 2,000 acres in the Shoolagiri/Bagalur region to handle up to 30 million passengers annually. • Current Roadblocks: As of early 2026, this megaproject is facing severe hurdles and is effectively stalled. • Airspace Conflicts: In February 2026, the Union Civil Aviation Ministry refused to recommend the project, citing overlapping airspace with Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) in Bengaluru. The Center stated that airspace must be prioritized for defense testing. • The "150-km Rule": The Center also removed Hosur from the UDAN (regional connectivity) scheme because of a legal concession agreement with Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL). That agreement prohibits any new commercial airport from operating within a 150 km radius of Bengaluru's Kempegowda International Airport until 2033. (Hosur is only about 80 km away). @TVKVijayHQ #TVKVijay #TVKVijayHQ #BJP #Hosur #Chennai #Airport #Bengaluru
