शतं विहाय भोक्तव्यं , सहस्रं स्नानमाचरेत् । लक्षं विहाय दातव्यं, कोटि त्यक्त्वा हरिं भजेत् । अर्थात्- (सय वटा काम छाडेर खानू, हजार काम छाडेर नुहाउनु , लाख काम छाडेर दान गर्नू , करोडौं काम छाडेर हरिको भजन गर्नू ।) जन्मदिनले जीवनमा यस्तै प्राथमिकता निर्धारण गर्न प्रेरित गरोस् !

Finance Minister @rameshore @mofnepal paid a courtesy call on Singapore’s President, Mr. Tharman Shanmugaratnam in Washington, D.C. The President highlighted human capital, infrastructure, energy, trade, and openness as five key areas for achieving rapid economic development.

Today, I met with Nepal’s Minister of Finance, Rameshore Khanal, to reaffirm @ADB_HQ’s strong and continuing partnership with Nepal. I offered my condolences on the lives lost, including many young people, during the recent unrest and expressed appreciation for the government’s continued commitment to the path of reform. I was humbled to hear how instrumental ADB has been in supporting infrastructure in Nepal, including hydro-electricity, water supply, rural roads, and highways, and how our support is valued, including our long-term commitment. ADB remains steadfast in supporting Nepal’s path toward recovery and stability.

The Minister of Finance, Hon. Rameshore Prasad Khanal, addressed the Panel Discussion on Sustainable Tourism for Jobs, Livelihood, and Growth, where he emphasized Nepal’s rich cultural heritage and stunning natural beauty. He invited the global community to visit Nepal.

Finance secretary spoke in the side event jointly organized by three LDC countries to be graduated next year; Nepal, Bangladesh and Lao PDR during FfD 4 conference in Seville, Spain. Expressed Nepal’s transition strategies together with some issues to be collectively addressed.

Finance Minister @rameshore held constructive meetings with senior officials of the World Bank Group and International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Washington, D.C. Discussed about Nepal’s current engagements and future collaboration with the two Bretton Woods institutions.

Finance Minister @rameshore had bilateral meetings with US government authorities, JICA and Saudi Fund in Washington DC. Also had technical discussion with APD Mr Krishna Shrinivasan, IMF about Extended Credit Facility and further economic reform agenda.

The Finance Minister @rameshore @mofnepal had a fruitful meeting with ADB President Masato Kanda in Washington, D.C. Both sides recapped the longstanding partnership between the Government of Nepal and ADB and discussed opportunities for future collaboration.

The Minister of Finance, Hon. Rameshore Prasad Khanal, held a meeting today with H.E. Masato Kanda, President of the Asian Development Bank. Particular emphasis was placed on the progress, achievements, and challenges of ADB-funded projects currently underway in the country.

Finance Minister @rameshore spoke in the IMF–World Bank South East Asia constituency meeting in Washington, D.C., urged World Bank’s investment in hydropower and digital public infrastructure, and advocated a “no one-size-fits-all” approach to set global financial principles.
