Al llegar el verano muchos árboles caducifolios (robles, olmos, lodoneros, etc) emiten algunos vigorosos brotes llamados 'metida de verano o de San Juan', (lammas growth en inglés), de hojas de limbo más estrecho que las de primavera en un mismo pie!!

📌La Agencia Estatal de Investigación (#AEI) apoya el proyecto #MULTIADAPTS3, liderado por la Universidad Rey Juan Carlos (@urjc) cuyo objetivo es investigar cómo los arbustos mediterráneos semiáridos, como el Helianthemum squamatum, responden a múltiples estreses ambientales, incluyendo sequía, temperaturas extremas y competencia por recursos. ➡️MULTIADAPTS3 busca evaluar la variación adaptativa y el potencial evolutivo de estas plantas en condiciones que simulan escenarios climáticos futuros. ➡️Aunque el conocimiento sobre la respuesta al estrés hídrico está creciendo, aún desconocemos el alcance de la plasticidad fenotípica y la diferenciación adaptativa cuando los arbustos enfrentan combinaciones de estreses bióticos y abióticos. #díadelasequía #sequía #fondoseuropeos
