Carmel-by-the-Sea beach. This was around sunset, just by coincidence, I didn’t plan it that way. After the sunset was over there’s a mini traffic jam of tourists leaving the beach. Carmel was basically perfect, except because it’s so perfect, it’s completely infested with tourists. I felt bad for the people who lived there.

Fair. I actually haven’t seen Oppenheimer and really don’t have a desire to do so. Whereas I anxiously awaited for the release of Dunkirk and left the theater in shock over how bad it was. It was similar to how I felt after watching Dark Knight Rises. I’m going to see Odyssey in about 30 minutes.

The only Christopher Nolan movie I haven’t seen multiple times is Tenet. I’ve been working on the completely unique idea of ranking all of his movies again. Does anybody think Tenet is not his worst movie?

Eight years ago today, I lost my dad. A faithful Christian, a naturalized U.S. citizen, an inventor, an engineer, a musician, an amazing husband to my mom, a nurturing father. He was the catalyst for so much of who I am. He gave me my faith by instilling a love for the scriptures, and showing me what quiet strength and integrity looked like. He gave me my love of singing and taught me that the joy of music is a gift best shared with others. He gave me my sense of humor by teaching me not to take life, or myself, too seriously. He demonstrated love of country while also instilling a healthy skepticism of those who hold power over it. He taught me to take risks, to think for myself, to seek adventure, to stand for what is right even when it’s unpopular, and to trust God above all else. I miss him every day, but I’m grateful that his legacy lives on in the values he passed down. Love you, Daddy. Until we meet again.
