🇲🇨 1992 Monaco Grand Prix
The 1992 Monaco Grand Prix is widely regarded as one of the most dramatic and iconic races in Formula 1 history. Held on May 31, 1992, it featured a legendary late-race battle between the dominant Williams-Renault of Nigel Mansell and the McLaren-Honda of Ayrton Senna.

Margin of Victory between Senna and Mansell was 0.215 seconds.
On lap 71, while leading by over 20 seconds, Mansell felt a vibration and suspected a puncture. He made an unscheduled pit stop for fresh tires. It was later revealed that a loose wheel nut had caused the issue, rather than a puncture so it was a good job he pitted.
However, Mansell rejoined the track behind Senna. Despite being on much fresher tires and lapping significantly faster, Mansell found it impossible to overtake the masterfully defensive Senna on the narrow street circuit.
Senna positioned his car perfectly to block every attempt, holding on to win by just over two-tenths of a second.
This win marked Senna's fifth victory at Monaco, equaling the record previously set by Graham Hill.

The victory was notable for being the 50th win for the Porsche 962 chassis in international competition and served as the final 24-hour race victory for Derek Bell.

🇬🇧 Jaguar XJR-8
The XJR-8 is widely remembered as one of the most successful cars in Jaguar's racing history, primarily for ending Porsche's dominance in the World Sports Prototype Championship.
In its single season of active competition (1987), it won 8 of the 10 championship rounds it entered.
Championship Titles:
The car secured both the World Drivers' Championship (won by Raul Boesel) and the World Teams' Championship for the Silk Cut Jaguar team.
Production:
A total of six cars were built: three all-new chassis (J12-C-187, J12-C-287, and J12-C-387) and three conversions from the predecessor XJR-6.
Le Mans:
While the XJR-8 was nearly unbeatable in the sprint and 1,000 km races of the World Championship, victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans remained elusive in 1987.
However, the foundational design was refined into the XJR-9, which would go on to win Le Mans in 1988.
