Storms across Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Sri Lanka have devastated communities. At Apple, we’re thinking of everyone affected, and will be donating to relief and building efforts on the ground.

@Rainmaker1973 I want to send you an intriguing elephant video: an elephant waiting to protect the young. How can I send you that so that you can share?

Reggie, a young boxer, sprung into action when a woman’s other dog, Yogi, suffered an epileptic seizure with no humans around to help. Reggie kept Yogi alive for three hours straight before help arrived.

I started 2025 with this small desire of contributing to analog IC design education in UoM, and was given the opportunity to mentor 7 final year students. It was a learning experience for me too, teaching as I also learned. Today I saw their final results; it was all worth it! 💯

@CVPR2025 Hi, Have the review assignments been made? If so, it is normal to have no reviews assigned? I cannot see "CVPR 2025 Conference Reviewers" in my OpenReview.

Congrats John and Geoff! Both are former colleagues. I did my postdoc in Geoff's lab in Toronto. After that, I joined Bell Labs, where John was a part-time scientist (and a professor at Caltech). In fact, John was the reason why the department I joined was working on neural nets. I first met both of them in 1985. I met John at a workshop in Les Houches in early 1985. I met Geoff at the Cognitiva conference in Paris in June 1985.

This morning (23rd), I took oath as the 9th Executive President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka in the presence of Chief Justice Jayantha Jayasuriya at the Presidential Secretariat. I promise to fulfill your responsibility to usher in a new era of Renaissance for this country, and I look forward to your collective contribution to that.

In reviewing papers, I have to repeatedly switch between Chrome (with Google Scholar PDF Reader) for accessing references and Edge for annotating. It would be great if #Chrome can have the annotation feature.

@jon_barron This is great, and I started using it. It would be so good if annotation too are possible.

This Google Scholar plugin is meaningfully accelerating my paper reviews. Clicking on a citation immediately pops up a helpful info box from Scholar, no more going back and forth to the references section, googling a title, reading the abstract, looping back, etc.

scholar.googleblog.com/2024/03/superc… I've been using the beta of this new Google Chrome plugin for a while now and it's _excellent_. Highly recommended if you spend time wrangling bibtexs and such. Get it at chromewebstore.google.com/detail/google-…
