@NYRLouie Ottawa might not have much of a choice if Brady has a small list of teams and the Rangers are one of them. Similar to Panarin situation. Brady loves NY and MSG and always wants to play on a big stage.

@SprecksNY Tkachuk is what they need. A power forward type player to drag his team into the tough areas. Leader, doesn’t take shit, good culture, will call people out. Basically everything JT miller had failed to provide. Him and miller on a line would be awesome.

I am not trying to get ahead of myself but Artyom Gonchars NHL ceiling is essentially a bottom 4 pair defenseman who can be a PP specialist Never going to be a Top Pair deployed player at the NHL level at 5v5 The NHL comp that comes to mind is Shayne Gostisbehere at like the 100% outcome - there’s actually a decent amount of similarities as far as NHLe production through their D+1 year, their skillset, their draft position and height Again, that’s best case scenario. Gostisbehere was much more polished, even at Age 19, so there’s still a lot to go before we get there but that’s the prototype #NYR

@NYRLouie Rempe will be back in 2026-2027. There is no rebuild needed, the chase for the cup will be back on.

One of the BIG reasons I’m team rebuild and not team “try to compete” in 2026-2027 is that over the past 2 seasons The Rangers are 42-40-8 in games both Igor and Fox have played in over the past 2 seasons, meaning they lose more games than they win, even when healthy Plus you traded your best offensive engine away in Panarin, you’d need to use a big chunk of your cap space and assets just to try to replace him to get to the same point they were to start the season And than try to add another Top 6 talent on top of that, plus a Top 4 LHD and RHD to solidify an actual NHL 2nd pair Not to mention trying to do this in one of the weakest FA classes of all time. So that means trades, which means thinning your future even more It’s pretty clear the easy and ethical thing to do is rebuild. Do I think Drury will? No But he should #NYR
