We had an outdoor disco today to mark the awarding of our 8th Green Flag.

Our Green School Committee were on hand today to unveil our 8th Green Flag which we were awarded by @GreenSchoolsIre this year.

Thanks again to @MammyJohnstons for coming to the school to share their delicious ice-cream with all of the pupils today.

In a closely contested final of our mini league today, Leitrim emerged winners over Roscommon with a narrow one score win. Well done to all of the players from 3rd to 6th classes for taking part and for showing such great sporting spirit. @CStrandhill @sligogaa @SligoGAACandG

Active School Week - many thanks to Ms Wetherald for organising all of the activities. Thanks also to all of the parents who volunteered as coaches for some of the activities during the week.

Pupils have had a very busy and active week taking part in lots of activities including fun stations, rugby, GAA, soccer, Zumba, Yoga, swimming, co-operative games, basketball, fun races, Be Active activities.

Active Schools Week started today with pupils doing Stations and tag rugby.

4th and 5th classes are in @KnocknareaArena today for the end of year concert with @MusGenSligo

6th class had a great morning doing an orienteering course in Hazelwood organised by Youth Action Project and local community Gardaí from @GardaiSiochana

School Assembly this morning on Working Together.

Our girls and boys teams were in action today in Ransboro Park in Cumann na mBunscol competitions. Unfortunately it wasn’t our day as we were beaten in both matches. Well done to all of the players for taking part and representing our school with distinction.

Our infant classes had a visit from a Beekeper today to mark World Bee Day on Saturday. Beekeeper Kathleen is also one of our SNAs.
