Strandhill School PA Table Quiz Get an early start on the weekend with a night of brain-teasing fun at Strandhill GOLF CLUB. The Parents Association is hosting a summer Table Quiz that will put your knowledge to the test.

Today we marked Safe Internet Day with a talk from @CyberSafeKidsIE funded by our Parents Assoc. Michael talked to 3rd- 6th classes about staying safe online.

Scoil Asicus Naofa was delighted to welcome the @CStrandhill Ladies' and Men's teams with their silverware. 5th and 6th classes formed a guard of honour to welcome them and the hall was a sea of red and white!

We were delighted to celebrate the publication of "Bringing Them Home - Sligo's Great War Dead" by our colleague Simone Hickey today. It is a wonderful book and the culmination of 10 years work to remember those who died in the Great War.

Connacht Schools Cross-Country Championship on 12th Oct. Our Jnr girls came 2nd while Snr girls just missed out on a medal in 4th place. The boys Junior and Senior Teams placed 3rd. We also had 3 children getting top 10 finishes. Well done to the children & their coach Mrs Joyce

Well done to our 4 students who took part in the All Ireland Community Games art/model making competition. Eibhlín won 1st place in the U10 model making.

We've just had the most brilliant Grandparents Day at Scoil Asicus Naofa. Thank you to all who visited and catered and helped make it a super day.

Congratulations to our 6th class boys who won the Co Sligo GAA Amigos skills competition in Sligo yesterday. The boys trained at lunchtime with Ms. Reynolds and sharpened their soloing, passing and shooting skills. Maith sibh.

Thank you to Mrs Howley who organised an indoor camogie tournament for 1st and 2nd classes over the past weeks. Today was the final and it was a tremendous match with 100% effort from both teams.

Mrs Gilligan and the children of Scoil Asicus Naofa were carol signing at Sligo Airport on Sunday 10th December. It was a fundraiser for @FocusIreland. Mrs Gilligan had 40 children out signing to get everyone in the Christmas mood. Well done to all who sang and played!

Jeremy Pagden delivered excellent talks to our 3rd - 6th classes today on Online Privacy, Deep Fakes and Internet Safety. Talk for parents tonight @ 7pm.

There was great investigation going on for @ScienceWeek - including 4th class making catapults and 5th class soldering circuits with help from @clubmadlab and @atusligo_ie

There will be an Internet Safety Workshop for Parents on Wednesday 22nd November at 7pm. With the current intense focus on smart phones & children, this is a great chance for parents to get expert advice on online safety & cyberbullying from expert Mr. Jeremy Pagden.
