Kenya deserves leaders of integrity, not endless controversy. @rigathi Gachagua rose to high office under a cloud of serious corruption allegations involving billions of shillings. Even the courts have questioned the source of his wealth. But this story did not begin there. In 1997, he was dismissed from the civil service while serving as a District Officer in Laikipia over gross misconduct. A matter he has never fully explained to the public. In July 2021, he was arrested by the DCI at his Nyeri home over allegations of money laundering and abuse of office, tied to vast sums of money flowing through accounts associated with him. Even within his own family, disputes have spilled into the open. Relatives of the late Nyeri Governor, Nderitu Gachagua, have raised concerns over the handling of a multibillion-shilling estate. Claims that remain contested, but serious enough to demand clarity. Then came the unthinkable. For the first time in our history, a sitting Deputy President was impeached by constitutional institutions over violations of oath, divisive rhetoric and conduct deemed unfit for office. This is a pattern that raises urgent questions: Can we trust leadership weighed down by persistent integrity concerns? Can a nation unite under divisive politics? Can accountability mean anything if we ignore such a record? I have challenged the impeached former Deputy President to state clear facts and stand firmly on integrity. I presided over the @LawSocietyofKe 2026 Annual General Meeting in Machakos earlier today. At the end of the meeting, I witnessed the swearing in of @ckanjama and the 2026-2028 Council, and handed over the instruments of the presidency to the 52nd President. It has been an honour serving the Law Society of Kenya and the Country. I wish Senior Counsel and his team well in their tour of service.

You are taken to remand for two years as your case is kept pending ; eventually your Uncle an Mp becomes the Deputy president of Republic of Kenya sworn in and you hope he will RESCUE you by assisting you to get a good lawyer for your case. You are eventually incacerated for 20 years ! Your uncle is sworn in as a deputy president . All your appeals are dismissed , files get lost and you remain in Manyani Maximum Prison for 4 years. While in prison your Uncle devours your Dads properties and transfers them to his own kins. Your mother tries to come back to fight for her children; she is repulsed with violence ! You watch your uncle on Tv while in prison calling himself “The Truthful Man” Ndukuira Ngoro ? That’s a true Story narrated by the True Son (nephew of the truthful man in town ) And Still in PRISON. Dear Mr President pls use your powers to pardon this nephew and review his case . As a mother, i can share in his mothers pain . Also pls Allow and protect his mother to return home .
