As the Georgia governor’s race begins to take shape and Keisha Lance Bottoms emerges as the leading Democrat, let’s not forget the name Secoriea Turner. After the shooting of Rayshard Brooks, Keisha Bottoms allowed armed groups to take over the intersection of University Avenue and Pryor Street where a child with her whole life ahead of her was murdered because her Mother got off on the wrong exit. It’s also worth noting that all Officers involved in the shooting of Rayshard Brooks were later fully exonerated. Leadership means protecting the people you serve. Atlanta deserved that then, and Georgia deserves it now.

Can someone explain to me why they think Keisha Bottoms would be a better Georgia governor than Jason Esteves? I’m all ears with an open mind.

@tspooky @JoeBiden @KeishaBottoms Keisha Lance Bottoms served one term as Atlanta Mayor. She didn’t run for a second term in 2022 although she would’ve been re-elected. This was the height of BLM protests city and nationwide. If she can’t stand the heat how would she effectively serve as governor? Just asking.

@ajlamesa The mayor of Atlanta has no control over the school system. ZERO control.

It's a shame that Keisha Bottoms didn't demonstrate leadership on reopening schools during the pandemic -- we knew it was safe by summer 2020. Atlanta Public Schools students missed a lot more in-person learning than kids in many neighboring counties and cities.

Keisha Bottoms = 2026 Andrew Gillum. Black progressive running in a red-leaning southern state who may come close because of the environment, but won’t win and her leading the ticket likely ensures GA will be somewhat immune to the political environment this year.

When Keisha Crimewave Bottoms was Mayor of Atlanta, the city burned down for the first time since Sherman marched through. She couldn't run for a second term, she was so unpopular, so Biden let her into his Administration.
